I cant believe all the crying over 1.6 CM, when the lag and ability delay is a much bigger issue.

 

Id honestly pay 2400 CC for no Lag and an editional 2400 for no ability delay.

 

What lag? Ability Delay? Stop mashing you key board/game pad like a chimp on ten pounds of crank.

Either I'm crazy, or 1.6 made ability delay and lag worse. I'm leaning on the I'm crazy part, but it might not just be my imagination.

 

My Guardian is having substantially more difficulty this patch than last too. I'll hit a button once, twice, even three times and no go... and by then, since I'm melee range only pretty much, it's too late and I have to reposition. 1.5 made ability delay bad again... like it was post-launch. 1.6 has made it worse.

 

NEEDS FIXED!

The ability lag and delay thats been in the game since launch that even the Devs have admitted they are trying to fix even if you Biodrones cant accept that they screwed up.

Not had any issues with ability delay or lag for months now...whatever BW have been doing internally to optimize certaihly seems to have been working...

 

I have no problems post 1.6 either :)

Well, i agree. But it shouldnt be something we would have to pay for, its something the game should feature by dafault. Lag doesnt bother me too much, it not any more than other MMO´s, but the ability delay makes you lose globals and that is a big NONO in my book. Though, to be honest i havent been feeling it much lately.

I am hopeful that the Illum patch that brings optimisations to the game engine will fix it.

No, it's gotten worse. I used to never have ability delays of any kind. I had it noticeably on my assassin yesterday.

If they can't keep simple systems like color matching working what hope is there for la and ability delay?

Even if people have lagg and 5fps then you should be able to count on your abilyties. When you hit taunt ex. it you should be 100% sure your taunt dont miss. It´s not so much the random dps ability that goes to cooldown without having fired, that´s superanoying and should be fixed, but a missed taunt is bad. That´s not just a loss of dps, that could loose you the whole fight.

 

When an ability get on cooldown you should be 100 sure it has been used.

Server Issue for you. I haven't had Lag, and last time I had problems with ability delay back in Feb. So upgrade your commodore 64.

Come on, if you're going to pull punches at least get your facts straight. Anyway, it is server side, abilities not going off. People running in place after leaps/falling. If you are blind to see it I can go record some of these issues for you. Just because you live in your perfect world of SWTOR and you believe everything is fine doesn't mean it is. I use to be like you, thinking it was everyone else. Wake up, it's a huge issue with the game.

I cant believe all the crying over 1.6 CM, when the lag and ability delay is a much bigger issue.

 

Id honestly pay 2400 CC for no Lag and an editional 2400 for no ability delay.

 

It's all F2Pers' fault. They have only 2 quickbars so they keep punching the same buttons over and over again which produces a huge overall lag. Give F2Pers 8 additional quickbars and all will be fine. Oh, and give them 16 additional char slots too please.

I think people misunderstand what "lagg" is to the people in question. I play on East Coast server which is where I'm located. Listed my specs/connection. It's the small things you might pass up as nothing. That hidden GCD where your ability doesn't go off. The game glitching making you run in place a few times or watching people run in place, disappear/reappear instantly, falling through the floors then re-appearing, or my favorite running in place and not being there and then being half way across the map.

I understand that people experience lag I do at times to sometimes I get a huge spike and then it goes away I had no problems when I first started out the day f2p hit about a week after I noticed it BUT it has never been as bad as what some of you guys are saying usually I get most of my lag on places with high pops (Lower level planets and fleet). I mean Yea I know a lot of my guildies on the rp server I play on have lag problems as do a a few of the guildes in the guild I'm in on Jedi convent so maybe its like one person told me play on a server near your time zone it may help it may not or it may not. (And who ever mentioned taunts missing yes that is annoying but if you act quickly enough sometimes a missed taunt can be rectified)

wow really has this nailed, you feel a connection to your charactor thats missing from swtor because of the buggy client side action queue instead of a perfected server side queue. that and half assed movement physics, small rocks on the ground turn into walls and lack of momentum (glued to the terrain)
