Oh please... the reason why the items could be expensive is because no one cares for them and they dont sell. Any cybertech would rather be crafting item enhancements rather than ship parts. Its alot more profitable. it undermines very little.
The prices were gonna get chocked with people wanting to try the new missions. All Bioware did was make them more widely sucessful without needing to grind weeks for it.

Yeah, exactly. You want items for FREE handed to your lap.
No, we don't. We just don't want items that are a gameplay upgrade handed out to players who decide to throw cash at the game.

yes im hugely dissapointed, specially the fact that the missions are too hard for grade 6, you should be able to do the new ones with grade 6, THEN on grade 7 you get new missions, that give you access to some form of gear.

Do they even make design choices anymore?

I agree with the OP. Not technically pay to "win" but it's a bad step. Top end gear should not be purchasable.
aren't you a little short for a stormtrooper?

What does it affect you? Does he get an advantage over you? No he doesnt, its a 1 player mini-game. The sense of self-entitlement is beyond arrogant.
But guess what, at least they are helping the game thrive and that will translate to more content to all of us.

this is only a mini game, There are no leader boards for the space missions, there is no direct play between players..just you and the AI ...

Calling something p2w allures to the idea of a person gaining an advantage in a competition with another player via who can buy the better toys. ...only thing is when anyone plays the space missions there isn't anyone what so ever but themselves they are actually competing with..

Im missing this anger over buy stuff for space missions when the only person whos actually going to give a rats a** you bought is your own conscience.

inb4 fanboy comeback.
Um... you get rewards outside of space missions that increase your ability to perform (credits that can buy stuff off GTN, fleet comms that can get lvl 8 crafting mats to build BiS items, and BH comms which are a direct PvE currency).

You can earn things outside of the "space mini-game" with the "space mini-game", it is P2W.

Do you not know this?
Real Star Wars space combat please, not Star Wars Fox! Maybe some PvP and flight too?

Its not pay to win. These people can't stand the idea that there are people out there for whom buying the pieces is 1) possible because we have some extra money, and 2) desirable because we consider our free time to be more vaulable than the money we would save b y grinding.

Don't underestimate the hate and jealousy out there for people with even a few extra dollars in their pocket.

So you admit they have to work to get their gear pieces playing the mini-game and arent getting them for free or paying to get them. It requires effort!

This is not P2W!

Okay.

Got it.
Reading comprehension perhaps, they bought them off the GTN with credits.
