Workaround.
http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=560634

I hate spamming this, but I know how frustrated I was not being able to complete Esseles.

I get to complete it before the cutscene where it crashes. It's the cutscene that takes me back to the fleet. When I log back in I get quest completed and find myself outside the entrence to Black Talon. At the start of The Foundry I spawn back inside the instance and can keep on completing it. So it's more of an annoyance than something that stops me from playing the game.

Regarding the possibility of my installation of Microsoft Visual Studio C++ being corrupt; this seems highly unlikely. Like others have pointed out, this is not an isolated case, but something very common after 1.5 happening for a LOT of players. If SWTOR 1.5 requires a different version than whats installed, the installation should tell you about this, just like it does with Direct X for most (if not all) games.

Edit: Your post isn't spamming, as its relevant to the case, even if its not a direct question to OP.

Had a new crash now tho. Happened when logging out. Had that happen once before as well, and then I couldn't even log back in because it said I was already logged in. Both times after 1.5.

It's not the bullet with my name on it I'm concerned about. It's all the ones for "to whom it may concern."

I'm having the exact same symptoms in both Esseles and Black Talon in the final cut scene. Same error codes as the others when an error was actually reported, but most of the time the program simply shut down with no error at all (6 crashes total, 2 error reports in the log). Reinstalling Visual Studio had no effect. This has only happened since 1.5. minimizing the window immediately after selecting my response until the cut scene ends prevents the crash. The hyperspace jump is what seems to trigger the crash, but only in those two flashpoints. Changing graphics settings had no effect at all.
