I wonder how much money they have lost while this thread goes up to 120+ pages? You would think that alone would make them want to give us a update.

I've been having this issue today too. I managed to buy some a few days ago but as of today I'm just getting error after error, I've tried two different cards and paypal, but nothing. Definitely an annoying problem

Just thought i'd chime in and add my voice to the growing chorus of dismay emanating from this thread about the ridiculously long time it's taking to fix the Cartel Coins purchasing. Not only is it insulting to dangle a carrot in front of your face and then put you on a *********** treadmill, its just downright lazy and arrogant in my opinion that they give the people affected little to know info on the matter, and most likely expect them to be satisfied.

An absolute *********** disgrace on the part of BioWare for this, who can hardly afford the bad press this brings atm.

No, its not. At least in my case.
Since the subscription time was near for re-newer and unable to buy cartel coins I thought I try a different approach using www.origin.com.
Logged in, same credentials, see my whole failed attempts to buy cartel coins in history payments, selected a game time card and purchased it.
Everything was perfect, they didn't complain and I was able to prolong my game time with another 2 months.
Going back to history payments now I see also the success payment for game time besides those failed for cartel coins. On the same list.
I'm a programmer and analyzing this I'm sure this is a problem with SWTOR payment system and not with EA payment (Origin) or a blocked account or something with internal database (or databases).
If they would allow us to buy cartel coins also from origin.com this whole problem would be solved.

PS. I would advise not to call the phone number because you will pay some money and talk to someone who is not a programmer and cannot help you at all, it will be wasted money (at least in the most cases).

I am also getting extremely frustrated. I have sat on hold for over 2 hours (I had to hang up. Not everyone has unlimited minutes on their phone!) I have sent emails and posted in forums. There is no reply. Doesn't that make you guys concerned too? I have read through almost all of the threads and tried every suggestion but i keep getting the same error every time I try to purchase cartel coins. I would really like to know why when there's over 20 pages of comments no one is even ATTEMPTING to acknowledge the issue. Between my house we have 2 subs and 1 f2p so the company is making a profit. I don't understand what I need to do to fix this issue. I hope someone responds soon because this is crazy. How can a company just ignore so many people???

"Greetings,

I am Protocol Droid M0-T0, Human Cyborg Relations.

Thank you for contacting us to report the trouble you have been having with purchasing Cartel Coins.

As with any online purchase, Cartel Coin purchases may fail for a variety of reasons. If you have never successfully purchased Cartel Coins, there are a number of things to check which may be causing the error you are seeing:
Check that your billing address registered on swtor.com exactly matches the address your payment provider has on record for you
You must be making the purchase from the same country your payment card was issued from – for example if you are using a US Credit Card to buy coins from Europe, your payment may fail for this reason.
Double-check the card information you have provided to be sure that there are no missing or transposed numbers in your card number, CVV number or expiration date.

If you have successfully purchased coins before, and are now unable to buy more, this could be because there is a limit to the number of Cartel Coin purchases any player may make per day, if you have passed this limit, you will not be able to make more Cartel Coin purchases for 24 hours.

There may be additional restrictions in terms of transaction numbers or spending limits which are imposed by your payment provider and are beyond our control.
We would always suggest that you check with your payment provider in cases where there is no clear reason for a transaction to have failed." This is my ticket response about this stupid thingy

Just signing that I'm having this issue, too. Have no problem buying the subscription, funnily enough.
