Name of Server: The Bastion
Name of Characters Affected: Zioknight, all others.
Frequency of crashing – how many crashes, how often? Every 5-10 minutes, making the game basically unplayable.

This is definitely a very frequent crash to desktop. I have tried the Compatibility mode "Run as Administrator" on both the launcher and the swtor.exe to no avail. Repairing does not work.

I would recommend trying a clean boot and see if it still occurs in the first instance

Thanks for taking the time to troubleshoot for me.

I've been doing my own clean boot for awhile, and it shows while doing these steps. I can't "Disable All" because it's all already disabled. I don't think it's a background program issue. I also checked to make sure my video drivers are up to date.

Quickest way to see if it is a setting rather then hardware is create a new windows user account and run it in there and see if it still crashes.

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-au/w...a-user-account

Edit - also use the setup from www.swtor.com/download and select re-install, this overwrites a few things.

this is indeed a crash to desktop, not a disconnect to server select screen or a logout to character select.

Interestingly enough, running it in a new account makes it crash instantly after closing the launcher.

I did do a reinstall and I'm still getting frequent CTD. Don't know what else to do besides play a different game.
