Honestly, I wouldn't even mind of it were all BOE as long as they ditch the ridiculous level gating. I mean, I want that duster for my Scoundrel. What's that you say? The duster is a level 40+ item?!? Well, I think I'll just stick with the level 39 one I have stored away in my cargo bay...

Seriously, if the gear was adaptive and available to all levels, they'd sell a ton of it. With the level gates in place..... good luck.

Everythign you buy on the store should be BoL. After all, isn't this whole Legacy thing supposed to be this awesome thing?
On the Internet, you can be anything you want. It is strange so many people choose to be stupid.

Yes, they should be bound to your Legacy.
All warfare is based on deception If his forces are united, separate them If you are far from the enemy, make him believe you are near A leader leads by example not by force

I'd like to add... the fact that these are all "in game" models is also very disappointing. Why spend more money for these sets when you can run a few FPs at level this equipment is gated to and get the same models for free?

Unless you have a notion to make your toon look like the other faction, all of this gear is useless.

I would have recommended to them that all of the armor should have been offered as a combination Orange gear/Adaptive set available at level 1 with minimal mods.

A few pluses to approaching it this way..

1) You can use the gear on anyone, getting a true unique look
2) You still have to outfit the armor with proper mods, so it's not P2W since the mods are lousy for all but the lowest level characters
3) To my knowledge there is no orange armor in the game that is also adaptive. So it would be a unique set of items, and therefore highly prized...and with a 5 day unlock would be available to those that do not wish to purchase it in the store.

So in my opinion this would have been a win for everyone.

I'm very confused by this statement.

Of course most people are going to say it should be bound on legacy, of course people are going to want more for less. It's the same as asking if they would like this game to be free with content patches every 2 weeks, and no bugs. What people want only matters to a company when there is money backing it up. It would simply not be a wise decision for EA/Bioware to sell these as BOL. Sure you might say I won't buy it/ a lot of people won't buy it if isn't bound on legacy, however I think that the number of people who won't purchase armor because of it not being bound on legacy will fall short of compensating for the addition sales if it is not. It seems Bio/EA also share this opinion by taking the BOE route.

Meaning that there are no armor sets that are Orange gear (moddable) but also adaptive, where they change the type of armor they are based on what your armor ability is when you put it on.

So if you are rated for heavy armor, the armor piece becomes heavy armor when equipped AND you can change the mods as you go.

Keep the gear BoE or whatever, but give us a slight discount if we buy multiple copies.

I thought all orange sets did this. I could be wrong. I've only tested it on the containment set armor from the first event which is no BoL and not just orange like it was when it released.
