Lag a lot, freezing loading screens, full disconnects. Can play WoW PERFECTLY. So go figure.

Note: this happened since your "stability" patch.

Edit: I have been playing SWTOR for the past 3 weeks on high settings with no problems. 3 days ago I started having issues. Lag spikes and framerate issues have been horrible. I have followed all steps from previous posts, but with no success, including turning my graphics settings down to very low. No other mmorpg game that I play (WoW, WoT, LOTRO) are having these issues. This is very annoying because not only did I pay for a subscription, but I also preordered the next expansion as well as purchasing quite a lot of cartel coins to gain unlocks and equipment. I feel that if this issue of server lag is not resolved soon, this will be money wasted. As a fan of the Star Wars genre I feel very let down by this product.
I had similar issues and found it was do to using nvidias recent beta driver release. I rolled back to an officially supported driver and have had no more lag at all.

Excruciating lag spikes (shooting up past 10k no less), kicked to the infinite loading screen (happened 3-4 times an hour ago when I was attempting Xeno in the Gree event no less) numerous times, etc. Yet my internet connection is smooth otherwise.

Try connecting with a ethernet cable to your router and see if the issue persists

Your tracert is hinting something isn't right between your computer and router and maybe affecting the remaining results.

Just re-subbed few days ago after a hiatus. Game was fine a few months ago, all other games/apps still work fine. Called ISP, they monitored my connection etc.
I am cancelling my sub until this problem is at least acknowledged by bioware.
This is likely causing your issues

Check your router firewall settings, try turning the firewall off and see if the issue remains.

O.k so Since 1.7 went live ive been having weird lag issues.

I can run around on ilum all day with 8+ instaces running and not experience a single problem, yet I switch characters and go to balmorra where there is only 30 people and all of a sudden my Ping spikes like mad, loose connection, get it back again, loose connection, get it back, ping spike then this weird loading screen issue people are reporting.

So came here and followed all the steps I could, and it all had an interesting conclusion ...

1: Flushed DNS = Dns Successfully flushed
2: Ran Launcher repair = Launcher was fine
3: Ran Rep[air Scan of games files = All files fine
4: Ran Tracert

Spoiler

5: Ran PathPaing

Spoiler

Hrmmm UH OH! something so not right there

6: Flushed DNS again
7: Shut down everything attached to my router except the main comp with TOR on it
8: Re done Tracert and PathPing with same result
9: Checked Firewall on router (both the tor launcher nd exe are allowed through)
10: Check Antivirus Firewall (both the TOR Launcher and exe are allowed through)
11: Restarted Router - re did it all = Same Result
12: Power Cycled router ... and you guessed it same result
13: Set up port forwarding using the recommended 80, 8955 and 12000-12999 - yet again same result
14: Restarted Computer and Router - Same result
15: Restored router to Factory Default Settings
16: Applied router updates
17: Ran PingPath

Spoiler

18: Ran Tracert

Spoiler

19: Checked Ping and U/D with speedtest.net and pingtest.net

New York City = U/D = 47.5mbs Download / 5.3mbs Upload

20: Traced server locations so I could get a better and tighter result .......

Spoiler

Interesting ..... but OK

21: Restested ping and U/D with speedtest.net and pingtest.net

Spoiler

22: Noticed a mention on another thread here ---> CLICK <--- about a little program called Pingplotter, downloaded and ran for an hour = 100% packet loss at 159.153.92.69 and 80% packet loss at 159.153.92.28

23: Traced 159.153.92.69 = wouldnt ya know EA California

24: Logged back into TOR

25: within 5 minutes, lag spikes, loss of connection, game shut down, posting on Forum
