In both cases, its a basic green.

 

Now here's the green lightsabers as they actually appear in SWTOR.

Its some weird lime-green color, and doesn't look like lightsabers in any of the movies or promotional media for the game.

 

I know not only myself, but several friends of mine that actually won't even use green sabers because of this discrepancy. It would be a fairly simple fix to make, they just need to be more similar to the color of the healing beam of Commandos. Or, if they don't want to change the color of the current green crystals, they could add another one in for a darker green option more similar to the movies and all the promotional media for the game.

 

Please fix this devs! And please post in this topic if you've noticed the problem with the green sabers in the game and its bothered you.

I made a complaint about this very thing. I love green color lightsabers, but not in this game.

Also, the sound of some of these lightsabers sound nothing like a lightsaber. I wish they let us chose the way our lightsabers sound from a list. Getting that awesome looking hilt, and the activation sounds wrong, or the hum sounds wrong, or when swinging it it sounds dull, compared to the lightsaber you start with that sounds pretty much dead on...is a huge let down for me.

The good -- sorry, bitter --- the "promotional" green was in beta about two or three builds before launch, then changed when they altered the lighting for all lightsabers.

 

But, I agree, I hate it too. I was going to use a green saber for my SI until that change.

Yes,please change this. I don't like the look of green lightsaber in the game at all. It looks really messy imo and i would prefer the cleaner version(like black core color). This version is the best

The reason we don't see many players using normal lightsaber color at end game is because they don't like the look of the basic color(blue/red/green) in this game plus the black core color version looks so much better compared to the basic .

I 100% agree the green sabre need fixing. What is frustrating for me is that my 6yo son plays "Star Wars The Clone Wars Advetures" a cartoon network mmo lite aimed at young kids..........and the green sabres are Perfect lol...

A whole bunch of threads about the same thing should be equal to one big thread with lots of people posting in it. Both show an equal portion of the playerbase is concerned about the issue, while the former is generally ignored.

 

I think that they should add back the original versions of colors like Green and Yellow, but as new crystals. There's also a blade thickness issue with some of the crystal types, so why not add in a new type so that players can choose between "thick" and "standard" lightsaber blade thicknesses, as well?

Personally, I prefer the green saber the way it is in-game right now.

That would be nice indeed. Heck, they could even sell them via the cartel store and people would buy them.

It's pretty noticable in game though, especially with bloom turned on. Turning bloom off will make the green sabers look slightly better, but still not as good as they should.

I think the important question is when a fuchsia coloured crystal will be put in the game, but my god, if it's not fuchsia as I think fuchsia should be, there will be hell to pay.

I don't have a glowbat character yet, but I have a green crystal in my Scoundrel's blaster that has a green hue close to the promotional ones. Huh.

I never use a green lightsaber in this game for this reason. It's not really dark green, but more like yellow green color, which I despise.

Bioware fix the green lightsaber color. It's a yellow green color, not pure green. It looks like garbage. Also fix the yellow color as well. It's orange yellow more than pure yellow. Same issue.

I support this every time I see it pop up. I will say that the new Lime Green crystal available in the Cartel packs is far better than the normal green crystal as it is now. It's not as good as the beta green or even the green visible in the pre view window but a step in the right direction.

I love the color that the green crystals have in this game, please don't change them
