I have my pyro built to do DOT every time he does a flameburst(it took 3 points) and then I follow with a rail shot. Is the I M really worth it? it costs 25 heat and does pretty low damage in the grand scheme of things. What do you guys think?

It also has 30 meter range. It's good to stack a dot on a target that is too far away to get personal with. But, yes, situational, and you don't HAVE to have it.

Do I have to have it to get to prototype particle accelerator? Anyone know?

You do. This is starting to look like a must have...

It's pretty nice, because it allows you to immediately get a Rail Shot off from long distance, then you can always Grapple->Rocket Punch->Flame Burst and hope to get a free Rail Shot.

Anyone knows if incendiary missle counts as burn effect for the superheated rail ability if one is NOT using the cumbustible gas cylinder?

Both Dots are considered Burns when applied to the target.

Running in from range u use IM then a Rail shot. Getting rail on cooldown as early as possible is essential. Once into melee u cna then use RP/FB to reset the already spent rail.

Yes, IM is most definately worth it.

Also, its best used with Thermal sensor override, = no heat.
