Request for Boss Logs from Tanks

I am trying to compute stat weights using a new model, which requires the use of some terms that can only be calculated from logs of the bosses. I am interested in the fraction of damage that comes from 90% accuracy attacks (which will show up as attacks that miss 10% more than the other attacks), and what fraction have 100% accuracy (which can still be defended and absorbed).

If you post up a link to your boss fight I will figure it out myself, but please do not link parses that include other non boss events (like trash), because that will skew the numbers and cause more work for me.

If you just want to post the % damage from 90% and 100% accuracy stuff, that would be most awesome for me.

I am calling the fraction of damage from 90% accuracy attacks ac90 and 100% attacks ac100.

i dont have a working link there obv... but I hope to be able to use this data to publish some good numbers for mitigation pools.

Seems like most of the damage cant be mitigated. that which can (flurry, charge) is at 80%, which indicates90% accuracy.

Nothing to write home about.

Hate to sound like a dick and all, but i figure with terror from beyond coming out soon, the importance of certain stats will drastically change from EC, much like they did from EV/KP to EC; shield and absorb was far more useful in the former, while defense became the big stat for the latter.

Who knows though, hopefully we will see a balance in the stats, and hopefully i wont have to readjust my enhancements and augments to much.

It doesn't, modulo slightly interesting arguments regarding spikiness (frequent small attacks will favor defense more than infrequent large attacks). Stat weights *did* change between EV/KP and EC, but in favor of the mitigation stats (defense + shield/absorb), not away from them as many people assert.

Regarding the OP, I'll see your boss logs and raise you an ENTIRE SPREADSHEET. I've already done the work that you seem to be starting now. The difference is that I went through and worked back to the pre-mitigation damage values, which is more useful than the post-mitigation values that you see in the logs. At the end of the day, this allowed me to determine exact weights for defensive stats in terms of endgame damage percentages (which sounds like what you're trying to achieve). Here you go (as a bonus, this includes a slightly-outdated side-by-side comparison of the three tank types):

true, i should have backed out of the data the pre mitigation numbers via reduction and miss%.

Love the info, but it seems what i need to know is how much of the following are 90% accuracy and how much is 100% accuracy:

Weapon/Kinetic DPS Weapon/Internal DPS Tech/Kinetic DPS Tech/Internal DPS

based on my logs, it seems that some weapon damage is 90% and some is 100%. I am not going to try to model for damage bthat requires cooldowns to avoid, because that has nothing to do with our stat weights.

but after thinking about it last night, now that i know that vangaurd/powertechs only get their -20% accuracy bebuff 1/3 of the time, and seeing that mitigatable damage is going to be unpreditible, I am thinking about just assuming that 50% of mitigatable damage will come from 90% accuracy attacks, and the other 50% comes from 100% accuracy attacks...

still want more data to see how poor of a practice that is though.

Edit: taking keyboard ninja's assumption into account, where if something was missable, but had a name other than melee or ranged, I assumed a 100% accuracy, and any melee or ranged damage is assumed to be 90% accuracy.

OP: Go to http://swtor.askmrrobot.com/combatlog, click "search by guild", select server "The Ebon Hawk" and type "Wrath of the Forsaken" (no quotes) in the guild field. Should pull up a whole bunch of HM EC runs (and some various other stuff). In particular you probably want to look at Blayze (vanguard tank) and Bitte (shadow tank).
