How so? He even stated to "help level" but NOT just come on and buy and win. I see nothing wrong with selling gear to help people level. If they need to waste money on that when the gear that drops and is rewarded already is beyond fine, then that is their choice. But he said they will not be offering BiS type gear.

As far as green gear it seems kinda silly to me,i sell crafted stuff that is far better than green gear for cheap often with my armormech in the 20's to mid 30's range, such as belts, gloves due to those being kinda hard to find.
In a decent system, yes, in a P2W system, no.
Real Star Wars space combat please, not Star Wars Fox! Maybe some PvP and flight too?

If you don't like to raid and do the operations, warzones, or only do 5 flash points a day or week or whatever it is then yeah don't pay. But if you want to keep do basically end game content then sub.

I am sure there will be extra content/quests also for people to either pay for it or for subs we get it free. I pay $15 now and I plan to keep paying it so once this is all set and out there, I will decide for myself if it is worth it or not and I am sure it will be because I played this for the Operations and storyline. Well basically because it is Star Wars and in all honesty I am still loving the game.

selling gear regardless if it's the best or the worst is like confirming they plan on pay 2 win and what happens if their experiment works and people are foolish enough to buy this stuff? it will only seal the deal with making it pay 2 win. this little stunt has lost some respect i had for bioware, if they wish to keep this up, i would be happy to find another game and let their game die off.

But it's really not. Some of you peeps have a very rigid and strange definition of P2W.

P2W is anything you can buy for RL cash that circumvents the need to progress in the game.

It's not that I want to pay for stuff if I am already a subscriber. It just confuses me why people think their pocket change used for entertainment is the single most pressing issue in the universe. In no other industry than the gaming industry do customers go on such vitriolic rants and vow to boycott all future products of a company just because the company is trying to make money.

If you see the value in what you're paying for, pay for it. If you don't, just vote with your wallet and go elsewhere with your money. If McDonald's is charging more for a burger than Burger King, you don't stick around in the McDonald's restaurant and go on a religious crusade to ensure that they never get another customer again and shouting to the world that charging $1 more is an act of unspeakable evil. You simply go to Burger King.
It's not that we can't afford it, it's the principle of it. If you are paying a sub for 15/month and you have to pay the same as f2p players for normal content updates then what's the point in staying subscribed? At the very least they need to offer a large discount to subscribers, atleast 50% off. How is it fair for those of us that have payed our sub month after month without new content just to get hit with an additional charge because they withheld the content on purpose for the release of their f2p model?

I have canceled my sub, there is no way I am going to stick around to more lies and for them to try to milk customers who also subscribe to their game.

I also at this stage am going to be wary of anything Bioware does in the future. They are no longer that bright star of a company...that have fallen down the bath of previous large and amazing Studios. I now add them to the list of Origin, Sierra and etc.

Yeah that's the shady thing about all this.

They have moved the goal posts (as a clear decision), now it's is their right to do so, but equally it's the customers right to be annoyed that they have done so and gone back on what they have said.

It also brings up real trust issues, it's one thing to say X will happen try and fail....... it's another to say X will happen and then as some point just decide Y will actually happen because they think it will make them more cash.

It seems everyone is so concerned about "gear" in the CS. I have another vision on this... I guess we will soon see
extra ear slots, high-end pots that cannot be crafted, extra stats and skill points, CS only spells, loot that can only be "activated" by purchasing a scroll from CS, etc... none of these are considered to be "gear" strictly speaking, but this is what I'm afraid of. I really doubt they would put actual gear in the CS which would beat anything else, I don't care about gear added for 1-49. You just should take a look on real P2W games, they are an endless source of ideas what to put in CS that is not gear, but still P2W.
