I wish I had a solid answer for you on that. We’re still in discussion about some of the larger content updates that we’re planning. Great example is the planet Makeb. We’ve talked about Makeb, we have a lot of plans around Makeb. I wish I could give you more details, but I can tell you that I think the playerbase is going to be really, really pleased. More story content. New and interesting things for the players to do. More systems and interesting functions in the game … I can’t go into a lot of detail, but around things like that … This is a pretty big piece (of content). It is probably all that I can say. It is definitely still for discussion whether we sell that to the subscriber or the subscriber gets that for free because it is a big beefy chunk of content.
Highlighted the "speculation", in case you missed it.

Here is the "speculation" about monthly content, too. Just in case.

It amazes me how some people will just pay for anything just because they can hold a lightsabre.

Keep trying to justify this sorry excuse for a cash grab. You can try to keep justifying it when they pull the plug on it too.
James Ohlen: " For 2012 we really want players to feel like they're getting their money's worth. You're going to see so many changes and additions to the Star Wars Universe. It's going to be impressive. We have our Update 1.2 coming in the next week and then after that it's going to continue to roll out month after month. It's exciting."

I read it. I also watched it.

What I did not do is to draw a speculative conclusion (and then try to peddle it as fact) as to what it means, being as it "is being discussed" and he made it clear no decision as been made.

Sorry is what you are saying not speculation i.e. opinion as per your previous post.

I disagree with Styxx, you have been giving the impression, in a number of posts, that you are happy to have BW charge subscribers for Makeb, if so I disagree with you. My opinion is already out there, I tend to use the word opinion a lot as that is all it is.

It seems you don't.

Here is a pair of progressive thoughts to consider:

People who are unhappy with the game, or the business direction of the game (fact or speculative), seek something that you do enjoy and are happy to play..... for enjoyment.

People who are happy playing the game and understand the dynamics of MMO evolution such that they do not let it derail their enjoyment of the game continue to play.... for enjoyment.

I judge based on statistics, or tendencies.. or simply.. the past.

And neither EA`s, nor Mr. Jeff Hickman`s... past exploits, give them any credibility.

There should have been NEVER a question about subbed players being asked to pay for Makeb. The very uncertainty of his answer makes me think he knows things we don`t.

If that is your impression, I encourage you to review my posts with a closer eye to what I said and with more objectivity and attention to detail.

My only position on the question, in this largely negative sea of hyperbole that is this thread, is as follows:

A) They have not said if they will charge for Makeb or not. All they have said is it's a lot of content and they are still discussing how (and by inference, when) they will release it.

B) We don't know if Makeb is still as planned, or if they have something bigger planned for it.

C) rather then prosecute the company and it's development and business teams with speculative hyperbole ad infinitim, I am content to wait and see what they actually do before forming any personal opinion about it.

But what does someone who is happy with the game and understand the dynamics of MMO evolution BW style do if it derails their enjoment of the game do.

Answer - either let BW know their displeasure, or quit. One option gives BW a chance to re-evaluate their position, the other doesn't.

This game doesn't need more people leaving so stop with the enjoy/quit BS.

I see.

So not opinion presented as fact, but rather judgement presented as fact. Did I read that correctly?

As is true with opinions, judgement is yours to make. Others are free to disagree with you and even withhold judgement in the absence of fact on the specific topic of Makeb's release status and plan.
