This attitude of only accepting people telling you how great everything is doesn't seem to have gotten us very far in good directions. This game is about to go through a major change, mainly because a disproportionate number of the people that bought this game did not like it or did not like the direction. If you only consider praises constructive, then you are not seeking true feedback. You don't need spin doctors, you need a community team and dev team that are willing to engage this community in actual discussion, and talk about the good things and the bad things about the game. These forums are gaining the image of being useless, as far as communicating with this team. No one wants to discuss the issues with in-game customer service. No one wants to admit that most people quitting this game likely had very little to do with them having a problem with paying a subscription fee that is the same as other MMOs out there. We REALLY need this team to have honest discussions with the community! I would hope that the last 8 months have not been for nothing, and that this team has learned something from this disaster. Likely I will now get the ban, for speaking MY mind. So be it...

I too have been here since Beta. Even back in Sept Bioware would remove post that did not "give constructive criticism" afk not saying "Bioware you are the greatest". I agree with removing trolls and removing post that truly have no propose but to troll and spread hate. But it has been clear that Bioware is not willing to listen to those who wish to give constructive feedback and now instead of ignoring them they are simply going to ban them.

Quoted for truth. It doesn't do well for morale when you are afraid to even make a legitimate complaint about the game because you don't know if you will be suspended/banned. Censorship is not the right way to go about this.

and morale wasn't high to begin with, it has been rock bottom as a whole in light of the f2p announcement, not attending Star Wars Celebration VI, the continued mantainence, the bugs, and the lack of communication.

It's been real but the game just wasn't worth the sub for me anymore.

If you are being rude, disrespectful, and insulting towards others and are not civil and constructive in your posts, you will find your posting privileges removed more quickly than in the past.

Note that this doesn’t mean we’re going to shut down legitimate criticisms and feedback, but it does mean we will be making an effort to remove members of the community who prove that they do not want to contribute in a constructive way. We encourage you to provide feedback regarding the game (even about things you don’t like!), but we ask that it is detailed, specific, and constructive. Also, while disagreements are fine, insults and rude posts will not be tolerated. We expect community members to respect each other and differing viewpoints.

You may find that threads that are not constructive are removed or closed without warning. Here are some things we consider unconstructive:
  • Long lists of gripes with few specific details and little useful feedback
  • Threads that bash the game or BioWare
  • Threads about quitting the game
  • Callouts towards specific developers
  • "Haters" vs "fanboys" arguments/unconstructive community commentary

We strongly recommend brushing up on the Rules of Conduct, as violations are generally more serious now.

We do need your help, though! If you see someone you think is breaking the rules, please use the "Report Post" feature! The best advice we can give is to report and move on – responding in kind to someone who is breaking the rules only makes flame wars and other disruptive behavior go on longer. If you just can’t agree with someone and feel like they may provoke you into breaking the rules, please use your ignore list. Remember: there are people out there who just want to make you mad and get a rise out of you. Don’t give them what they want!

We appreciate your help and are looking forward to creating a friendly, welcoming community!
Yay!!

If a post of ours is removed without explanation, where it doesn't fit (as far as we can see) under the trouble areas discussed above, and we don't understand where the problem lay, whom should we ask for clarification (by PM, naturally, not in the thread)?

Why are you making stuff up? That's the opposite of what they have said, right? Constructive feedback gets you banned? Really man?

What Bioware deems unconstructive others deem constructive, there is no lying go on. It is all opinion based.

What has definition got to do with anything? He never said anything about that. He flat out said that from now on, posting constructive feedback will get you banned, which is wrong.
