It is disappointing that not even this cancel option is visible. Instead of wishing to lure more customers into payments, I will not subcribe for a long period simply because of this kind of tactics. And yeah, I don't mind paying.

If I was a preferred status player before becoming a subscriber, do I go back to preferred status or free to play?

Subscribers who cancel, regardless of their status before subbing, should always go to Preferred. (IIRC)

Canceling just means you will not be billed for the next cycle in your subscription.

You don't.

If you've been incorrectly charge, you might want to phone their support line (they cannot and will not deal with billing issues on the forums or via email), but if you haven't they'll just tell you tough luck.
