And GW2 is not doing anything new or different, what they are doing has been done before, unless you only played WoW all your life, then yes, its gonna look fresh

It has retained a lot of subs, it depends on how you look at it. It had a lot more subs to begin with than most other MMOs and still lost a ton of subs.
