I disagree, we are comeing together to preform a task. I've always tried to prepare myself for new things with plans and research. Noone is obligated to teach people who to play or what to do. If I dont know the mechanics to a fight, but i want to group with people outside of my group of already affiliated friends, i feel it incumbent upon myself to find out whats going on through whatever means nessesary outside of actually going in and embarassing myself. Remember there are other people here. This is a randomly put together group. If you arent out to impress people or atleast pull your weight, start your own group so people who are willing can carry you.

If im leveling a new character, i hit 50, i dont immediately jump into HM flashpoints. Ill ask guildies to run me through some or buy some upgrades off the GTM to make things go smoother. The same would go with something like cutscenes. These arent a mandatory part of the flashpoint evidenced by the fact that there is even the option to skip them with spacebar or compeletely remove them. Please, for the love of yoda, get your story fix in the story mode version.

If you arent being considerate, and infact, accuseing everyone else of "not letting you play how you want to". Dont be suprised when half the server has you on ignore and your que takes 30 mins.

Good on you for making them wait! I would do the same. It's up to you if you elect to watch a scene or not, wether you have seen it before or not or just like the scene.

On the other hand, given that BW has created a product that encorages repeating content over and over in order to reap the rewards it only makes sence to enable a filter in the group finder that permits users to state in advance that they will skip scenes. It's the solution that akes the most sence to me.

Oh and if you find a player abnormally rude and intollerant, just add them to your ban list, the group finder should then ensure you dont get them again.

SWTOR won't truly represent the spirit of Star Wars until numerous iconic star wars non-human alien species are playable.

Can't take seriously anyone who claims watching all the cutscenes takes only 3 minutes in BT.

In BT if you do things the slow way, it can easily take more than 90 minutes to complete the FP while it could be done in less than 15 minutes if you go for a fast run.
We are taking about huge amount of time wasted there.

And first of all, if you want to watch all the cutscenes in BT, you can GO SOLO THE STORYMODE, anyone level 17+ (and many people even lower than that) can just solo it, and then you can take all the time you want without bothering anyone else.

Just because you "enjoy" watching the cutscene does not give you the right to make the fp run unenjoyable for 3 other people. Stop being a selfish jerk. Why should your enjoyment take priority over the enjoyment of the 3 other people?

And do remember that this is just a game. That means some people may have real life jobs and families and so on. Making a FP run last more than an hour (not 3 minutes but an hour) longer than it would have to take, is a big deal and can cause real serious inconvenience to some people.

In most of the other flashpoints watching the cutscenes may be alright (if you aren't being a jerk about it and slowing it down just for the sake of slowing it) but if someone is not skipping in Black Talon, I would see vote to kick and ignore as perfectly good options.
Heh, nice troll tactic there.. first you accused the other person as a troll and then you trolled back

You are just not good enough at it

Anyways, if someone wants to watch the cutscenes then I don't mind it. I'll just watch TV or something while waiting.

Incorrect. Just because you can spacebar through them to make them go away faster does not mean it's not mandatory. In fact, just the opposite is true. You must engage in NPC conversations in order to advance the flashpoint. Again, they put the cutscenes there for a reason, for people to watch them. The difficulty has NOTHING to do with the validity of players wanting to watch the cutscenes. For the last time, it's a story-based MMO. Get over it!

With the attitude towards other players that you seem to casually exhibit, don't be surprised when this happens to you.

What bothers me the most is when I form a group specifically for a speed run through BT, and make sure that everyone is on the same page that we just want a spacebar run. Then I wind up being forced to sit through every cut scene because some newbie just nodded his/her head rather than asking what a spacebar run was.

Whoah...

I'm quite glad that I only do FP:s and such things with my guild. Everyone there are nice and there is no problem with watching cutscenes in HM FP:s. Because I love it. Watch every single scene, living in the story and that is why I love this game. Glad to have found a group of players who are enjoying the same things as me. Didn't know that being happy for the cutscenes could be met with so much anger.

I love it when I do a random HM FP queue and you try to give someone advice on a boss fight or show them a way to skip trash mobs etc and they get angry at you instead. Then suddenly they are accusing me of being mean to them when Im just trying to run through it fast and help them learn how to do the flash point the most efficient way possible. I had to add another kid to my ignore list after a HM D7 run this morning. Some kids just don't want help and are angry at the world.
