This game is a carbon copy of World of Warcraft and this is the number # 1 reason people dont like it.

WoW players came here looking for something different , found a pale imitation with less functionality , decried its horrors and left.

This is a WoW copy and a Bad one , Literally.

Have you not seen the comparison of Warrior abilities here in and in WoW. That is just one example of how they directly copied WoW.

Listen..people SAY they don't want wow...then there have been games that have been out that aren't wow...they HATE it because it's different, that's why they go back to wow. That's what it is. That's the draw. They like that system they are fimiliar with. That's why everybody copies it. Until some company makes this whole revolutionary system with brain chips and blinks to control character movement, people are always going to want what is like wow.

To some people being like wow is as simple as having a hotbar. It's that sad an atrocious but it's true. People like staying with things they know for lots of years. That's why it's a VERY VERY big gamble to change it allll up. You need to do it in steps, not all at once or else people will NOT play it in mass droves. That's what I meant. That's true, people scream for a game not like wow, then one comes out and it's TOO different because it's not what they are used to. Say one thing, do another.

People don't hate this game, its just it was hyped up to such an expectation that when in inviability couldn't meet the hype, they complained loudly and left.

Thats it. SWTOR is just a victim of the hype machine. EA's very good at this. It works well for Singleplayer games because once you sell a game for $100 you have the money, it doesn't matter if it doesn't live up to the hype. But with MMO's if the game doesn't live up to the hype, you lose the subscription and thus, you lose your main income.

This is also why publisher adore F2P now, because the hype sale works with that model. You hype your game, get lots of customers, they spend real money on many different items, and once they buy its your's. Once they finish and they don't like what they have, to bad. If they leave, no biggy, you have their cash already, and best of all you have no middle man retailer leaching off the profits.

IMO people had high goes of swtor and were disappointed. It needs done soul and danger and adventure. All things you lose when you make something too easy. Pretty much sums up life in the west right now and we're getting the games we deserve.

All the mmo's I've played were harder than this one, not always a good thing, but they all had their own character/flavour.

I think the fleet was a bad idea as were massive planets and small populations on the planets. It has lead to a lack of community and no local feel when you visit a planet. That is something SWG got right with player towns, that was great fun to raid

I hope the devs can pull it out of the bag I think this game could be so much more...

It is so good that they have to consider free2play within the first 6 months, lawl.
I wonder how much they had to change their 10 year plan for this game.
Probably cut into half just as they did to their staff. Fail game is fail.
Bioware quality is history since DA2 and beyond.

Because they haven't had their juice boxes. WoW babies get cranky when they haven't had their juice.

I complain because I care. Just because someone is unhappy with aspects of the game doesn't mean they don't enjoy it. They see what it could be and want it to leave up to that potential, but that's never going to happen if we aren't willing to tell Bioware when we think they've have made a mistake or when something needs to be fixed or changed.

P.S. People don't hate games because they aren't wow. If it's due to wow than it's because wow has set a standard for mmo's and most mmo's don't meet that standard.
