You know after reading some of your posts I think you are part of the 99% I was referring to.
When someone makes a comment like "ask your guild" and you flame him for it, you are really no better then the guy who scammed you.

Write a ticket with the server name, character name, date and time of your helm's deletion and you will get it back. Bioware have an official policy of crediting 3 items per month if you made a mistake or encountered a bug. I've spent commendations on a weapon that I couldn't use (I stupidly didn't see the tag on it it "offhand" and thought it was a mainhand weapon). They deleted it and credited me the coms within 20 minutes.

In all instances and problem like the 2 that you describe the 1st thing you do is submit a ticket and if anyone is verbally abusive to you, screenshot it and submit a ticket.

I played WoW for 6 years too and the enchanting system in WoW is nothing like the modding/augmenting system here. If you skipped past any delete confirmation messages you are at fault, if there was no delete confirmation message you need to report it as a bug. How do you even know that the directions he gave you would cause the item to get deleted? did he say drag it out into space, and when you see the window that says 'are you sure you want to delete this item' that you should click yes? I mean if you are so proficient with how enchanting worked in WoW, how could you not figure out on your own once somebody said 'modding table'?

Also do you not know how the trade interface works? its not like we're dealing with Diablo 2 here. You put the item/credits in, then they put the item/credits in. When both of you are satisfied with what you have in your side of the trade interface and what the other person has in the trade interface you both hit the trade button. If however the items on your side or their changes AFTER you have already hit the trade button it should automatically reset the trade button to the 'unchecked' status. If it does not you need to file a bug report, if they say it is working as intended then you need to post a suggestion stating that this is a poor interface.
I'm not really a noob...

I have 43 MK-6 (had) parts. To get them transformed, I need to hand them over...

Nobody scammed or tricked you.

There was a clear confusion, since that is exactly what you do (you just need the table open first).

Additionally, you get a popup for deleting items...if you did not bug report forums are -> way.

But you did ask for collateral right?

Or you asked them to make you the finished products and trade that for the raw materials that you had?
I'm not really a noob...

you're wasting your time. he/she has been told many times how to go about fixing this. he/she simply wants to stomp their feet and complain.

I gave him my materials and a 10k credit tip for crafting the items.

This is what I did for 6 years in WoW.

And call me stupid if you want, but the guy logged off after the trade. I don't remember what lame pun or Luke or Vader it was.
