I keep seeing on the login screen for the game add a security key and get access to a special vendor. Well what if you already have a key? Can you still access that vendor or do you have to unmap the key then remap it to your account?

If you already use an security key number generator at login, then you can use the vendor right now.

On the fleet, you'll see a vendor near the door to I think it's the Sith Inquisitor hanger. This vendor sells a few character customizations and things, but the big thing it sells is the fleet quick-travel. 1 hour cooldown return to fleet. It's super useful and totally worth having a stack of those ready to go.

Greetings RedHatcc!

You can find more information about the Security Key in our Security Key Information section on the official website.

If you are having any problems setting up your Security Key, please follow the following steps which you can find in our Custer Service Help Center:

Quote:
To set up a Mobile Security key
  • Please go to our Security Key Setup page and log in to your account.
  • Click on ‘Set up a new Mobile Security Key’
  • Before you can continue, you will be asked to answer one of your Security Questions. This is to ensure that you are adding the key to your own account, and that the person adding the key is the account holder.
  • Having answered the Security Question correctly, you will be brought to the Mobile Security Key set-up page.
  • On this page, you will be asked to enter the serial number displayed on the screen into your Mobile Security Key smartphone application.
  • Next, you will need to enter the confirmation code displayed.
  • Next, you will need to input the code displayed by the Mobile Security Key App into the specified box on the webpage.
  • If the website then asks you for the serial number of your Security Key, please check the Information tab on the app, and tap 'Security Key Information', this will bring up a window containing 'Information for Tech Support', the serial number listed here is the one required by the website.
  • Click on ‘Save’ and your Mobile Security Key will now be confirmed as linked to your account.

To set up a Physical Security Key
  • Please go to our Security Key Setup page and click on ‘Set up a new Physical Security Key’.
  • You will be asked to answer one of your Security Questions before you can continue. This is to ensure that you are not setting up the Security Key on any account other than your own (this is especially useful when you are using a shared computer).
  • Once you have successfully answered the Security Question, you will be taken to the Physical Security Key set-up page.
  • On this page, you will be asked to input the code from the reverse of your Security Key, and then input the code generated by the Security Key into the webpage.
  • Click on ‘Save’ and the Security Key will now be confirmed as linked to your account.
  • If you have multiple accounts, you can choose the ‘Link a previously set-up security key’ option on the Security Key Setup page to link a physical security key you have already registered to another account.
  • Please note that this function only applies to Physical Security Keys, and each key may only be linked to a maximum of 5 Star Wars: The Old Republic accounts.
If you are still having issues getting your security key to work properly, we encourage you to contact Customer Service either via the Customer Service sub-forums or our online support form via the Official website.

Additionally, thank you Suzina for taking the time to respond helpfully and constructively to RedHatcc's thread! We always appreciate community members helping each other!

We hope this helps!
