The same can be said for the devs. I mean, why make ppl go to a site that's not Swtor exclusive? Are they trying to distance themselves from us?

the forums aren't the best way to communicate with players. They've practically said as much.

That why they are using a other web pages that have a better format.
Ganking leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to pvp.
The Swtor forum attracts trolls because the forums are more fun than raiding dragon soul.
Complaining is the new meta game.

If I were complaining, it would be the way that you ignore your falsehoods completely. You know you're wrong and cannot support your own claims, instead just tell people to put more effort into it and go to the third party websites instead of coming up with a more direct solution on this website here where all the members are known to have an active account. I don't want to access twitter, because I know there are a lot more little posts there to sift through just to find something useful.

The reason these forums aren't equipped in their opinion, is because they haven't equipped them as such. They can change the format.

Bottom line you don't have to be a subscriber to the game to follow on FB or TW.
How many people on FB or TW are subscribers? How many are there from day 1 of the beta, but left at any point during the game's development and did not care to press the un-follow button? You have to ask yourself all these questions.

One thing is for sure though, 100% of the subscribers are on these forums. And the people who aren't subscribers can still visit the forums and website (but can't post).
Also, people couldn't find out about TOR's FB or TW pages without seeing the link on the official www.swtor.com website.

Now after all that, you tell me which is the more popular: the www.swtor.com website or the FB and TW pages?
Which one should be a priority: the www.swtor.com website or the FB and TW pages?

The "you" wasn't directed at you.

It was people in general.

Perhaps they would like to talk about their last completed flashpoint, perhaps they would like to talk about SW lore, perhaps they want to talk about off-topic stuff in the off-topic section of the forums.
Perhaps they want to give short 2-3 sentences replies to various questions on the forums, not necessarily related to the game.
Perhaps they can give their opinion on how they think the better skill tree specs are for a certain role, perhaps they can share the item/mod builds they use, perhaps they can share screenshots of their characters in-game doing stuff.
QF brilliance, in the end, if nothing else, that's just enough for me. To just see the Dev team spend a little time on the forums talking about almost anything at all, acting like people that might actually play & enjoy their own game. Even when they do participate in such a fashion with the weekly community Q&A, it just is not happening on the forums so once again it feels like we're getting "talked at", not "talked with". Subtle difference, but it's felt right here.

I remember when the new Community Team introduced themselves, a LOT of people on these boards were expressing their happiness. It was all for nil. There was much hype that they'd be more involved here, and then what? A few days passed and the community team just disappeared like Stephen Reid did before his exodus.

They should change the format and get rid of the forums.

They are an artifact from when the gaming community had something worth reading.

Why are you here? If nothing is worth reading go back to twitter or facebook!

Best response yet.
