Now tell me, how many of this 185,233 followers are registered players of SWTOR?

How many people do you think sign up to follow the development of a video game they don't play?
Ganking leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to pvp.
The Swtor forum attracts trolls because the forums are more fun than raiding dragon soul.
Complaining is the new meta game.

I was registered to this forum well before the game was released. There's one person who signed up to follow the development of a game that I didn't play. It's also easy for a game company to make up followers for stuff like this, just to inflate the number.

if swtor has about 1million players, that's almost 20% of its base.

As someone else said in this thread. Most mmos only have about 1%-5% of its player base active on its forums.
True, but I bet the www.swtor.com website has 100% of the playerbase "following" right?
You know, since it is the place where all the accounts are...

I don't know about 1-5% of the players using the forums. What I see is:

So that is a total of:
291,109 Total Threads and
3,604,007 Total Posts

And that is just the English section of the forums.

I don't see this kind of activity from the people following on TW or FB.

Also take into account the email system that comes directly from the website.

First, this isn't pre-launch anymore. Its half a year later.
Second, I would like to see you support your claim and proof that bioware is inflating their twitter follower numbers.

That's the point of making the claim. I never wrote Bioware is doing it, I wrote how it is easy to do so. There are too many variables to prove your point, but there is inevitable proof that everyone who plays the game is apart of this site, and has access to an email system that this website utilizes.

Read some of their FB and Twiter crap, Their are tons of ppl on their saying " If only my pc would run it " or " this game sucks " So from the looks of their fb page a lot of non-subscribers are on those.

Probably not, but the design of Twitter is inflating the numbers.

When a player unsubs, does his Twitter account delete his "follower" number from BW's Twitter page?

If you have access to this site, you have internet, if you have internet you can access twitter.

If you want more a more active relationship with Bioware... You have to put in about 2 minutes worth of effort. If you can't do that then you don't really want communication. You just want something to complain about.

You see the same posts on this board but they are subscribers.
