Picking up both cybertech and Biochem?

Hi, i have a few questions:

1- Can you pick up both Biochem and Cybertech on the same character at the same time?

2- Concerning Cybertech re-usable bombs (exemple: Wynz-Tek Experimental Shockwave Device), are they like medpacks where you simply need to have them in your inventory? Or do they have to be equipped somewhere.

No you can't. Crew skills are broken down into Crafting, Gathering, and Mission skills. You can only have one crafting skill. However you can have more than one of the gathering and mission skills.

1) Poster above is correct: you can only have one crafting skill on each character. You can have two of either mission or gathering though, or one each.

If you want to cover more crafting professions you will need to roll up more characters.

There is a consequence of this caused by the fact that many crafting skills produce Bind on Pickup (BoP) items (or with high craft-skill requirement to use which is effectively the same thing) - so they can only be used by the person who made them.

So you need to consider which high-end items that are only available to people with that skill you prefer. Examples are reusable grenades (cybertech) or stims (biochem) that are very effective and use no mats.

2) You do not need to equip cybertech grenades to use them, they do not occupy a character sheet slot. They can just sit in your inventory. You can put them on your action bar and assign a hotkey, so that you can press and throw (they produce a circular landing target you can then mouseclick to throw to).
