I think we should have learned by now how Bioware works.

But if not let me give you a run down, especially for new players.

Bioware adds patch with "many many questionable changes"...

People tell Bioware "this this this do not make sense and/or is broken"...

When no issue is addressed, people resort to angry post....

Bioware then finds one "constructive post" and says "THIS IS THE TYPE OF FEEDBACK WE ARE LOOKING FOR!" Even though the post they quoted had nothing to do with the topic but was rather a boot licking post.

Bioware then releases the patch.

Bioware then makes tons of articles and interviews as to why more people are leaving the game.

He's right.

Calm quitting is for people who liked the game but just didn't want to play it.

I tend to agree with this after some thought. Nothing is gamebreaking, and the tank rants really just boil down to tanks not wanting to adjust their play nor accepting that their role is not to do damage.
Allix Crowe - Vanguard Trooper -/- Ethavan Crowe - Smuggler Gunslinger -/- Malrath Crowe - Powertech Bounty Hunter -/- Boslo - Jedi Knight Sentinel -/- Jiao-gen Pall - Jedi Knight Guardian -/- Landen Tanarr - Jedi Consular Sage -/- Vaelyth Kinti-kaar- Sith Warrior Juggernaut -/- Oteln'erose'thu - Imperial Agent Sniper -/- Zandur Tuum - Cathar Knight

Stop looking for stuff to complain about. If the game is that stressful for you try doing something like going outside once in a while.
As a paying customer, he has a right to complain. You are correct, class nerfs and buffs happen all the time in MMO's and if as a player you donot like them...let the developers know.

This is more of a opinion on nerfs and buffs to classes, so I know they will never do it. But I have allways thought instead of nerfing a way a class performs, you buff the classes lagging behind and then buff the encounters. This may require more programming work, but it does less alienation to the players. Just a thought and I am no programmer, so I cannot relate to the amount of work involved when you make changes.

As a paying customer, he gets to play the game, not whine cause it's not how he wants it to be.

Wrong. He is allowed to complain. Just as any paying customer is with any product. And if he has legitiment complaint ( and it is not YOU as another customer who decides that ) the company needs to consider it.

As a paying customer you have a right to complain about the service you're getting (ex. servers down). However you have a right to make suggestions not demands on the direction of the game. There is a difference.

You are one of many and others will have opposing opinions. A nerf or buff to you is a correction to others. This is the way of the MMO but the bottom line this game is NOT your vision but theirs.

I still remember Life Update LU 13 (and it was September 2005 LOL) in EQ2 which changed wardens from the best healers to the worst - not able to heal a group LOL.
Sure we were crying and venting on forums... it took time and devs slowly changed the mechanics to make it work in par with other classes. Mind it... they did not reverse changes, they did not cave to the whining players (and we were right to whine!!!!) and worked on it enough long to fix it.
It took a while, but guess what, finally they did it right.

You guys have to be a little patient. Usually the nerf is a bit more then it should, but then good stuff coming and you might actually like your class more then you did before....
When update get live... get facts straight and give feedback and I am sure any unbalance will be adjusted. It's not the end of the world LOL, not yet, though December 22, 2012 is coming.....
Deep in the human unconscious is a pervasive need for a logical universe that makes sense. But the real universe is always one step beyond logic.

Who is demanding they do anything? From reading the OP's post, he is asking BioWare to reconsider releasing the patch. If any poster is "demanding" they not release it or do the nerfs, then yeah..they are being silly. And I know it is BioWare's game and they have thier own vision for it. But did you not see where the one lead developer said they were very interested in knowing what the players feel about the game and it was thier ( player's ) game?
