So I'd like a decent answer on this. I unsub, for whatever reason, but I can't have a word with the community of the game or the CS via the forum? Are you serious? Why is that?

Some ppl told me this is happening to keep out trolls/ppl who have no relation to the game but still....I think every1 should have access to the forums, regardless of the subscription status.

Am I wrong?

I'd like to hear your opinions (and a CS response but I doubt that) on the matter. I urge you to be constructive and avoid trolling/hating me
Pls fix the FPS issues with this game already....

Not allowing guests to post is standard for forums.

It eliminates anonymous spam.

yes you are wrong I can't think of a single Pay 2 Play mmo that allows unsubscribed members to post on the forums.

To even post on the Diablo 3 forums you have to have Diablo 3 tied to your account

It is standard and it's for a good reason. Look at all the people who have unsubbed and posted their vitriol on this forum alone before their sub has run out. Why would BW want that on their forum? The forums are for those playing and paying.

I don't have a problem with that on any game's "official" forums. Those forums should be for the use of those active with the game (playing and/or subbed), because they have a vested interest in the community and improving the game. There are plenty of other gaming forums out on the 'Net that people who don't play a game can go to badmouth it (or praise it, if that's their thing).

I have used many forums for MMOs and never came across one I couldn't use before I installed the frikkin game after I was already signed up and confirmed to the website for crying out loud, It is simply ridiculous. What do they think people not playing are going to come in and spoil the forums for everyone. I think it is a bit paranoid of Bioware to do this. Like myself, I wanted to ask alot of questions before commiting myself to buying the game and paying for a monthly.

All official MMO forums don't allow users without a subscription to post which you see this is the same. If we were to simply allow anyone to post on here, we'd have nothing but a series of troll threads which you can already see a couple up.
If you'd like to see more Explorable Worlds in Star Wars: The Old Republic,
then head to this thread and discuss, list and vote which you'd like to see and explore in the game:

You can sign up here and confirm by entering your registration code. Then, for 30 days, whether you install the game or not you can post on the forums. After that 30 days, you have to continue to be a paying subscriber. And if you've watched this forum over the last six months then you'd see that yes, exactly what you said is what happens.

It is standard. Even SWG, which you mention in your sig, did not allow posting on their forums if you did not have an active subscription. I know this for a fact. So I don't think you can really say you've never come across it.

Not quite democratic eh?

Welcome to the current state of our society: Pay to talk and pay even more to be heard. And this is everywhere.

There should be a section of the forum where everybody, regardless of subscription should post. Giving voice to the people et al.
