Anyone who wants to play through the HK-51 story fully note this post could be spoilery

http://www.swtor.com/info/media/screens/hk-51-0

"Released from his icy tomb, HK-51 stands eager to eliminate anyone who stands against his Sith master."

So it looks like HK-51 will be found on Hoth, there is also the possibility of Ilum but i think Hoth would be more likely because of the starship graveyard

Of course we know that to get him will require a full level character and a mid level character of the opposite faction so it should be interesting

What if it is in the deeps of space? I hear it is cold out there. The new space mission could play a part in finding HK-51. They say the task of getting this companion will not be an easy one.

Oh that's a good one, never thought of that. It would be awesome if they incorporated lots of different elements of the game into the hunt

I believe his actual location where we activate him will be hoth, however as shown in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7DxmEorfoAU

It looks as though he is assembled at the end of the questline meaning we will have to pick up the pieces from around the galaxy before assembling him.

Theres a crashed ship in Hoth called The Fatality, its top centre of the map in Glacial Fissure(theres a republic medic close by) and you get a codex entry saying something along the lines that its cargo was a full regiment of HK 51s but the white maw pirates got to them first.

That explains the "series of challenging quests" we were told about at E3. Roaming the Galxy to put KH-51 together will be a blast! Also explains why Bioware wants 1 max and 1 near max character.

Yeah definately, well maybe they'll add pieces for him in republic/imperial exclusive areas such as optical sensors in an escape pod just east of mos ila, and a power supply for him being sold by the jawas to the north of anchorhead. Or a few pieces that can only be found on Imperial Taris/ Republic Balmorra. Maybe even having to return to Lord Grathan's estate to steal a prototype droid power supply for him, while your republic character travels back to the works on coruscant, in order to quell a droid rebellion lead by a malfunctioning HK-50 droid, containing the only remaining HK control cluster left in the galaxy.
