Hello

I had 8 characters on ven Zallow which I wanted to transfer to Ma Jung...
I could transfer 7, and then it said that I already had 8 occupied slots on Ma Jung although
I clearly have one slot free....anyone who knows why?

I've got the same deal happening.

It's as if it puts an extra placeholder character in the destination server when you initiate a transfer.

I noticed it after my first guy transferred.

I started with 4, transferred 1 (successfully), then it immediately says I have 6 (not 5) on the server.

In my specific case, I now have 7 on the server, but it says I have 8.

I had the same issue. Lucky for me, it was only saved name characters though, so I just deleted one. I thought....what if i actually had more than 7 characters to transfer..... looks like it happened to someone.

Greetings rurstam,

We have a workaround for this issue:
  • Log into the server where you have 7 successfully transferred characters
  • Create a new character, species/profession are not important
  • Once you are through the login intro, log back out to character select
  • Delete the new character.
  • Return to the character transfer page, and it should correctly list 7 characters on the destination server
Should you require any further assistance, please post here.

Create a new char on your destination server and delete it after doing the first scene ingame....
worked for me and plenty others
There are a few threads about the issue, and a statement from BioWare
