Now to spend an hour on each trying to think of better ones, and a legacy to match.

 

Edit: For the record, I'm not bitter or in any way blaming Bioware. Just a little sad, which is outweighed by the fact I'll (hopefully) have a decent WZ pop rate at any time of the day.

 

Edit 2: Get off your high horses about original names. You know the real reason your name wasn't taken? It's either because a), you're lucky, or b) the name is terrible.

 

No matter how original you think your name is, if its pronouncable, someone else has used it at some point throughout history.

I didn't.. I planned ahead.

Well I lost 2 names to myself, so I only really lost one name and I don't care.

A name I spelled incorrectly at character creation got flagged as taken during character transfer. So I spelled it correctly this time, and it wasn't taken, hahaha.

 

So I really didn't loose a name...I actually gained one.

Two... sadly the one still in my signature was one of them... and now I consider not continuing my sub. The other name I had to change had a funny surprise for me, I got the name on the new server which I couldn't get on my old server for that character... but that was anyway just an alt. Lost 3.

Lost only two 2 of 11 characters transferred. And I didn't like them much anyway. Kept my old legacy name.

 

In my books, if a name is already taken, it was unoriginal and therefore lame

Just one but fixable with a special character (out of 5 toons)

None, since I can't transfer, have had my Republic on Jedi Covenant and my Imperial on Keller's Void since early access.

I had to change 3/5 names of the characters I transferred, including my only two 50's. I am fairly satisfied with their new names though.

 

(and anyone that complains about the î in one of my character's new names can take it up with Bioware, and learn to make use of right-click to invite )

Kept all my names, but i planned ahead and took steps to make sure this would happen.

None, because Canderous Ordo got 10-11 servers added to it.

I only transferred 2 so far. I lost one name I wasn't attached to and kept one name which I wanted to keep. So I'm okay with that.

All but one. I was able to get a few on JC that I couldn't on my tiny server, so it was weird.

I got to keep 2 out of 5, but they were the two that were my first and second pick. So I lost 3.

 

As a bonus, I got to keep my legacy.

I lost zero out of 8, my GF lost 3 out of 8... not bad. It's a small price to pay to have these server transfers. Life is much better on a full server.

How are people complaining this is gamebreaking? 0_o And none since i havent moved yet :3

6 Republic characters were on Canderous Ordo, so I got lucky. We will see what happens to my Imps on Tarro Blood and Hyperspace Cannon.

None. I didn't use common names for my characters, so I was safe.

I lost one, my smuggler, which is pretty good considering I transferred seven. Having a commonly named character on Lord Adraas was pretty cool though. Still, I got to keep my main's name and recovered my Legacy name. When the box popped up to choose said legacy name I have to admit the possibility of choosing something new was sort of tempting, but in the end didn't feel like going back through and changing everything I've written if I didn't have to.

I'm pretty sure if I were to transfer I would lose them all, but I have the same names reserve on the harbinger server, but it's a pve server and all my characters are on a pvp server. Thus, I'm just cancel and move on.

I lost 2 names and my Legacy name. Losing the name of my favorite character was bad enough, but losing my Legacy name was the final straw. So I´m not going to renew my sub.

One name altered by adding two letters, one name lost, and one name that I wanted originally and was already taken was free on the new server.

I just check and yes all the names I had are taken.
