It would be nice to see them give the next wave of transfers two options: one The Fatman and the other Jung Ma. It would allow Jung Ma to ding heavy and bring in more opportunity for interactions.

One thing you guys seem to be missing is that, if all of you west-coasters are moving to the same east coast server (Jung Ma), you're not going to have to worry about "not seeing people when you are on". The server time won't mean jack if the server is full of west coasters. You might not see as many people online as someone who lived on the east coast would when they play, but it's certainly going to be better than the server you play on now.

As for latency... i have no idea.

**The Community Service Team's Notannos shut down my thread and said I can only post it here where people who aren't looking for it wont see it. So here is my post from earlier:

It's really unfortunate when a game you enjoy playing gives you the ultimatum to screw yourself over in order to continue playing. I've been a steady customer since launch, bought expensive special edition version of the game followed it for years, told my friends and even drove out to LA to meet the developers a year ago at E3. Today you just began the process of bleeding out my server Ajunta Pall despite the fact that it was the only west coast RP-PvP server.

The community worked hard to keep the server alive and competitive with the most vibrant West Coast servers and all we have to show for it is the choice to jump ship a day late. Now I've done my research and I understand that IF I go to Jung Ma I'll have to change 7 of the 8 names I chose for RP purposes back on the first day of Launch. 7 of 8- And that was before the recent influx of players from Ven Zallow. My Main will have to change his name because of someone else's alt whether that player is currently subbed or not, and the only real winners in this situation is Jung Ma.

As a guild Leader I would have to reform everything once I get there and hope that this name is not taken (I don't suspect it is) so that I can at least get it off the ground again after a call to Customer Service to retrieve my Guild Bank. And then, of course, I have to worry about my Legacy name. For a game that toots story and immersion that's a lot of broken variables and you're losing a fan in me. As a paying and devoted customer I am given the choice to either stay on a dying server as the curious, some of the hardcore, and the misinformed leave, or to cut my losses change my character's identities, deal with the Ping, and be okay with getting shafted by you after 6 months of paying you and years of supporting you.

I would like to know what made you decide that west coast players should have so little support from the company, why we should have to bite the bullet and play on a server on the other side of the country. While you're at it I'd like to express my general concern for your regional publicity. At Launch you chose to hold celebrations in Texas, New York, London, but you left the West Coast of your own country out. Will this be a repeated pattern of neglect from you and how is any of this behavior a good way to treat your customers? Lastly, as the affected customer I can probably answer this but I'll ask anyway: what incentive do I have to continue subscribing to your product, and what should be keeping me from cutting off payments? I want to support your game, but I'm not paying 15 dollars every month to watch your integrity fly out the window.
Uh... **Blaster Fire** It was a Boring Conversation, anyway.

WTFrak is RP-PVP anyway? SWG just had servers period and it worked great. Peeps want to RP, then RP. Want to RP and PVP at same time, go for it.

Agree just to make the point again since some people seem to think there is 1 data center:

10/17/2011 - BioWare has previously stated that there will not be a server or data center in the central US. Can you give us some insight regarding that? What led to that decision? And address any concerns by some guilds that have members on both coasts that might be concerned about potential latency and time zone issues?

Yeah, we have our east coast and west coast data centers, and then our European data centers. That just seemed like the right plan to do, and it's actually been working out really well for us. Through the testing program we're kind of kicking the tires on all those servers and everything is working really well. I don't think latency should be an issue for anybody on the east, west coast, or central areas.
There is a small MS difference maybe if you are in the mid-America similar distance from both its likely similar. For me in Seattle I am at 38-55 MS on average on Ajunta Pall to Fatman it is 115+ for example.

I dont see why they are not providing another option for us, wait they are we are bleeding your server and if you stay you cant do ****. Awesome..

If they provide another option people that already jumped ship will be pissed cause they might want to go there. What short sited bull ****

Well said. It's pretty clear that BW doesn't care about the Western side. You can tell by their maintenance windows that always crap on the West playing time.
