Unfortunately for you, many of us do.
Actually I do. I would also like sitting, eating and drinking but I understand that there is bigger things for Bioware to worry about

That's always the argument, but it's predicated on the subjective tastes of the person making the argument. PvPers want ranked warzones, but I would argue there are bigger things for BioWare to worry about--like chat bubbles. Why? Because it's more important to me in my game experience than ranked warzones could ever be.

That doesn't devalue the importance of ranked warzones or chat bubbles. But the lack of these basic roleplay features has made my experience so limited that I've cancelled my subscription and I'm looking at other games for my fix. As a huge Star Wars fan and having participated in this game's development since August as a general tester, I want to roleplay here.

Unfortunately, due in large part to the aforementioned missing features, it's more fun to roleplay in other games.

In fact, in this very thread I made the argument that many of the most requested roleplaying features are not roleplay-exclusive, but could and would be used by all players regardless of their playstyle.

So I agree, but I can't think of many examples where the roleplaying community has asked for anything that would be a burden to development, wasn't found in other competing titles, or wasn't already discussed as being something the team wants.

Many of us just want these things prioritized higher on the to-do list.
My post was towards the OP who claimed that there was "Nothing it seems" for RPers or that there weren't "any updates or improvements for roleplayers." Adaptive armour is a huge boon for RPers. And the rest of my post was a suggestion to him that, should he decide to ask for RP tools in the future, he word the requests in a way that demonstrates how more than just RPers would benefit from them, as that will be the most likely way for those suggestions to be implemented. Chat bubbles are nice, but aren't something that is (or should be) a priority at this moment in time, due to the nature of the game currently.

Additional emotes, biography pages, new dances, different gear, and so on are great to have. They're also going to be far down on the priority list unless we can demonstrate their usefullness to more than just RPers. I'm not saying stop asking for RP tools; I'm saying come up with a good reason for Bioware to implement them beyond, "Because I want this" or "I think it would be cool." Start showing why Bioware should make these features a priority. Then, and only then, will RP tools move higher on the priority list.

It has been several months now, by now you should know what we all know,

THIS GAME IS NOT FOR RPers.

This is a grind for gear and shinys type game, if you like to que for warzones or warp to flashpoints then this is the game for you.

If you want to walk around a free roaming world and RP with your friends, this game does not really support that.

You are free to RP to your best ability but its no more assisted here as it is in Battlefront 2.

Maybe, one day......but doubtful. I had planned to RP here myself but i have come to terms with reality.

That's pretty much how I feel and it's why I'm making the move.

Roleplayers are always last on the list of importance when it comes to MMORPGs. It also tends to be the smallest of communities, hence why they are last on the list of importance. Of course roleplayers do extend the life of a game usually... see the Neverwinter Nights series for example. (Of course that is not an MMORPG)

We still don't have chat bubbles, the number 1 thing roleplayers have been asking for since waaaay before launch and it can't be done seemingly.

I cancelled my sub because this game really fails at critical levels if you like to spend even half your timing roleplaying. I understand the roleplaying community is something of a minority so we should not get priority. That said, there are lots of pure RP servers, so clearly there is a playerbase there of many tens of thousands. We deserve some attention

tsk tsk.

While yes the experience is in the hands of the RPers, having the right toolsdoes go a long way to helping better provide that experience. Its like any system really, pve or pvp, sure the basics are there but having the right tools makes it a whole lot more enjoyable experience.
We control our experiences in MMOs but having tools there to help us goes a long way

I have to completely agree with what Kharnis said.
