So I started a Shadow and you are too right. I may never heal again with all these Force user utility tricks.

Not to mention that instead of running around unguarded all day I will just do the guarding.

Yeah the whole thing about comparing a sorc to a marauder is a pointless discussion. How many 30 meter abilities do marauders have? How many ranged stuns? 30m interrupts? Etc. It's two different classes. Can sorcs perform their job as a ranged DPS? Yes. Can marauders perform their job as a melee DPS? Yes. Can sorcs out DPS marauders? Easily.

So what do you want? Easier time 1vs1'ing marauders? Is that the real debate here? All these threads boil down to my juggernaut/merc/sorc is not as good as a marauder and the reality is that the latter two are better at DPS (single target and AOE) and the juggernaut has a full set of tools themselves that are as good but different than a marauder's tools.

If you think a marauder is overwhelmingly OP I suggest you roll one up and prove it - I doubt anyone who can't hack it as a sorc DPS would do very well with a marauder.

My main is a gunslinger and I'll heartily disagree with you. "The sniper will have to switch to a different target or lose damage" is not true - snipers can attack on the move just fine, they just can't full burst. It doesn't take long at all to drop to cover, attack and move. Snipers cannot be kited and if the healer LOS's the sniper he's also LOS'd his group assuming the sniper is positioned correctly. On the other hand, the sorc has tons of tools for rooting the marauder.

If people play their classes well, the classes are pretty balanced. There's a couple *minor* exceptions but if you're saying class balance is a major, major issue in this game you're not playing correctly or you're grossly exaggerating.

aaaaaand i stopped reading here. You just put 2 of the most basic core descriptions of a defensive cooldown yet you dont follow up on (your own) logic.


Let me explain it to you my non healer, dual wielding grunt friend:

Sorc bubble is a proactive heal

How many of all the other classes defensive cooldowns do you know can be:

- Cast on others
- Stops duration because of dmg
- Has 20 seconds cooldown?? (This one should be pretty obvious)
