*Possibly*

Still haven't completely decided, going to wait and see where the transfers take us, then decide if the game is still calling to me.

1.3 comes server transfers and LFG Tool. These are features that should have been in at launch, and I think contributed to the decline in subscribers. So will those of you that are currently not subbed to the game return with this patch? Are your friends returning?

I know some people returning to this game on Wednesday, and I'm curious if I'm not the only one.
I for one am hoping and praying that people will return to TOR after 1.3. I want to play with a more diverse pool of players. I am also excited that for the first time I will be attempting some PVE. I had not interest or motivation to spam /general chat. But now that these missions are a click away I will be the first to jump into the group finder.

But I think the ship has sailed already and 80% of the players that quit will probably not return.

I spacebarred through no dialogue, and did every quest I could find (and every heroic I could find a group for) on my Shadow. I got him to 47.9 in the free release month. This was after I rerolled off a 26 Guardian on a full server to avoid queues. I got my Shadow to 50 on the 7-day return. I also have a 42 (43?) Trooper that has skipped no dialogue (even the stuff I'd already seen) because he was in a static with a RL friend that had not yet seen the content.

If I can get a 50 and a 42 in 37 days without spacebarring, I'd hope that the average player could hit 50 in the 6 months that the game's been available. Granted, I have no social life, so most of my free time is spent gaming (ideally on vent with RL friends that now live too far away for me to frequently see them in person) and so I consume content faster than the average player, but the whole "People that have seen all of the story must have spacebarred through everything and don't belong here" became invalid about 3 weeks after launch.

Just because a particular person plays one night every other week for an hour doesn't make him any more wrong or right of a player than someone that rips through the story. I'm not even complaining that I'm out of story, what I'm complaining about is that once the story is over everything left behind is just a worse version of what I could get in WoW or Rift for the same monthly fee. TOR's story content is good. The skinner box at the end isn't remotely as comfy as the features in other, similarly priced skinner boxes, and a class story buried in the recycled planetary content isn't good enough for me to constantly level alts.

TOR is a severely flawed game that manages to be a very fun, unique experience for a while because of the BioWare voicework and RP. Nothing more, nothing less, and I can easily find more to do (with a higher ease of access and quality of life) elsewhere.

LFG killed wow and I am afraid it will kill Tor aswell. I will try a few runs with my tank, if I meet those kiddie "gogogo", "dps roxxors" like at wow, I am gone.

Since solo ranked pvp is not in 1.3 there is nothing for me to enjoy

@ GW2 hype

Puplic quest´s etc. will fail very soon, nobody of you played Warhammer? After a week or 2, nobody bothered with them anymore.
Also is GW2 a pay to play game, if you dont want to be weak you must put money into micro transactions - that just suxx.
Actually, GW2 is buy to play. You buy it once and done. Microtransactions include fluff stuff only. You get anything that makes your character better, in game

I've cancelled my subscription and it exprires in five days. If server transfers tomorrow go well, if I can login and PLAY AN MMO with actual freaking people, I'd love to setup a new subscription and continue playing. I would absolutely love to. So I have my fingers crossed. I'm honestly just worried about the whole "We're not going to do mergers thing." If I have move my character to another server and that server is dead too than, I'm afraid my time with swtor is at an end

SWTOR needs:

A real world PvP system - not just battleground arenas, and incentives to do it
Optional sandbox elements to break the boring mod of arena/fp/ops grind
  • Make the casinos functional
  • Make mini-games
  • Pod Racing
More customizations to ship/character/companions
A functional Light/Neutral/Dark system that is actually worth something
Endgame gear that actually looks good enough that people WANT to get it
Space overhaul
Get us off fleets! - Were sick of those damn stations, get us off and dont force us in those places!
ALOT more guild features/incentives/rewards/goals/tools/achievements
Make worldbosses worthwhile to kill, like actually good loot, that you actually drool and want to get!
Make achievement awards unique, instead reskinning the same speeders we already have.....boooooring.
Make endgame loot alot better, and dont be lazy and have different tiers share the EXACT same set bonuses!

And of course fix dead servers - well see how it goes after tuesday

Get those features in and you might start getting people back

Good Grief Please stay at wow I'm more than thrilled most wowzers quit mmoing period. I do NOT want a game as stupid as wow..one big gear chase so fatassed ppl can sit in SW or Org and prove they have no life.

LOL is it severly flawed? You played it like you hadn't clue one about the game. It's not wow, warhammer, eq, gw ro rift. It has a story and if you can't listen and participate then it's not for you.

As opposed to people sitting around Fleet? What's the difference?

I would also like people on any of my servers. However, Not that many as they do tend to ruin things. IMHO I don't see where BW will force moves (if they did then I would quit) on this first attempt at consolidation. Maybe in the future. I plan on taking advantage if offered a decent incentive to relocate to a new server.

What no one is addressing is very pure very basic: MMO burn out. As for me having to play that horrid non game wow for YEARS after I wanted to (raiding, waiting for this game) trying to get ppl involved in NE game other than wow, warhammer, conan ... hell cards even - waiting what 3 years before even a sniff of swtor? That is the big drama. PPL are pissed off after waiting so long through all the hype of the SHOCK AND AWE of this game it set itself up for disappointment.

Now they need to not knee jerk respond. Do offer sensible moves to servers of limited choice. Stay the course. There are ppl that will never want this game to be a success <sour grapes> there are those that have mmo burn out and will be back just not this year, there are those that cannot afford it for however long.

I really would not react like they are reacting <i call it chicken little 'tude> , take it all in stride and surf the waves because there isn't really anything to be gained by being a knee jerk reactor and the rest of us to lose.
