I pulled the armor and mods out of my Battlemaster gear and put it in in the slave girl top and bottom, lost the bonus...did I do something wrong?

If you're talking about the set bonuses, they only work on the original pieces of gear. Pulling the mods out and putting them into other does not transfer those benefits...

Only Campaign and War Hero Set bonuses transfer with Armoring, for any other 'lesser' sets the set bonus is bound to shells.
Impossible to fully gear HK-51 For Republic because of Imperial-exclusive mods.

I'm not geared in the newest stuff but would like to buy the legacy 20 set because it looks so much better than the bm/columi/rakata I have on....I don't want to lose my set bonuses though. Kind of sucks they couldn't have had the set bonuses not attached to the shell on the older stuff too.
