If I was EA, I would be promoting new content too, however, seeing how pissed customers are atm with the game, perhaps its not the best time to tell people "Despite the games problems atm, we are planning on making you pay for new content this year."

People are having a hard time justifying 15 dollars a month atm, perhaps they dont want to break it to us just yet..
Which leads to the question is this real? Has it been confirmed to be sent by Bioware or is this one of those if it is on the internet it is true things? Do we have a scource from where this game from yet that has been varified by a reliable scource?

But seriously, I'm American, and I don't care if people are "out to get us". I already know this expansion is free. lol
Almost a month ago, this leaked onto the internet. It lists different SKUs and price points, for a package that includes most of the content announced today.

If you google Magid, whose name is listed on the google doc, you can see that they have been working with Bioware since pre-release. Also, if someone did make it up, then... they had some sort of inside info, because they called it the Makeb Mission, and knew about the Cathar, etc.

people have asked on twitter, DMs and on here. If it was going to be free, then they would come out and tell us, and be very vocal about it. They would pat themselves on the back saying how great it is that they are giving us all this free content/increased level cap. They are not doing that. They are remaining quiet. Their silence means only one thing.... they are charging for it, and don't want to cause an uproar to dull the E3 hype.
Been actively reporting SWTOR bugs since July 2011. It's almost a full time job.

those of you who think that was an expansion...lol

pretty obvious they are going to have a CRAP ton of things in the 1st expansion.

You really think this is an expansion? Relax..it's just a content update.

This has all the signs of a paid for update/expansion (survey sent out worded with expansion, increased level cap, big hype, etc).

Will I be pretty annoyed if this is the case? Yep! Will I cancel? I am not sure yet. That all depends on how good the update/expansion is and what else is vying for my attention on the MMO frontier.

I do hope I am wrong though, and there will be no extra cost... and Bioware will actually deliver ALL that they promised in that case. But maybe being older has made me wiser, or more pessimistic... time will tell

I didn't see any mention of an expansion just several update features that are going to happen this year.

to good to be true. No...

bioware has said FROM THE BEGINNING they know players are already paying 15 dollars a month and every content update and perhaps even expansions (may or may not be charged) will not be charged. We are already paying for the game they said. This will be free, relax. I know it's too hard to comprehend and it's just....too good to hate. But don't worry it will be free!

Actually, it didn't hint at anything. It was a survey. The whole point of the survey is to find out how much people would pay for certain content/features. The answer they got may have been that people wouldn't pay for the things being suggested for updates. Furthermore, how do you know that they weren't trying to gauge how to structure a future expansion pack by using a dummy survey filled with content they were releasing in a few weeks at E3 anyway so they didn't give away any long range update plans? If I'm planning on developing an expansion then I'd like to know how much content, features, etc. that my customers feel is necessary for particular price points.
