  • 64bit: C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\BioWare\Star Wars - The Old Republic\logs
  • 32bit: C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\BioWare\Star Wars - The Old Republic\logs
Example file name: launcher_20111122.Log

Greetings viperathouse,

After reading your logs I'd like to request you do the following:
  • Open the Windows Start Menu
  • Type ‘cmd’ in the ‘Search programs and files’ field. A black icon will appear called "cmd", please right click this and then click "Run as administrator"
  • Once this has loaded please type ‘ipconfig /flushdns’ and press enter
After this has been completed please reset your internet router, and reattempt to run the launcher.
Please feel free to post here the results so we can know if this requires further investigation.

Not work do flushdns and restart my modem still cant log in

Thank you for your responce. I'd like you to clear some files for me.
  • Press [Windows Key] + R, and type the following:
    %userprofile%\appdata\local\SWTOR\settings\
  • Press "Ok" to be taken to your settings folder.
  • Please clear/delete all files/directorys in this folder EXCEPT:
    Directory: GUIProfiles
    File: Client_settings

After these steps please reinstall the launcher from here. Once this is done please respond here with the results so we can assist you further if needed.

Based on the log you've provided it would indicate that your launcher is having problems on your local area network. Can you please attempt to power-cycle your router, and re-add the launcher and client to your firewall and anti virus.

Please also ensure you have the correct ports unlocked on your router and it is set to allow UPNP, or set to allow you current computer to be within the DMZ. You can find the details on the ports required here.

Okay i solve myself, try evrthing you said and my patience overflowed then i format my computer and reinstall game. Now i login and start patching, i will let you further information after patching

I'm having the exact same problem with my launcher for 24 hours now. I've also tried everything you have listed here to try w/o any results.

So I'm gonna delete and reinstall the game.

The only other information I can give you is i JUST MOVED 1 mile down the street to a new address. I use the same Internet service, Comcast on the same account. I was playing the game when they shut off internet service to my old address so it worked fine. When I set it up at my new address 4 hours later, it would not run the launcher.

I also use Norton 360 antivirus which I changed in settings for SWTOR program and Launcher files from Auto to Allow.

Will let you know after i delete the game if it installs and works.
