Not really. The "bonus" is designed to TAKE exp gains from one area and INCREASE exp gains in another. Basically its a system for people that prefer PVP and SPACE and just running Flash points to regular questing. There is NO advantage for regular questing. Right now the fastest way to level is to grind out all the quests. This legacy perk will not change things for those that prefer to just grind out the quests.

So if your preferred play style is SPACE, PVP and to run Flash Points with groups, then yes you will be able to level faster under the 1.3 legacy XP "SHIFT" (its not really a bonus). If you don't mind leveling as things are now there will be nothing for you. AND tbh there has been nothing for me in all of Legacy and I find it a waste.

i do have one of each on each side:

-merc and commando
-sorcerer and sage
-gunslinger and sniper
-sentinel and juggernaut

i enjoy all their storylines. i dont skip through the dialogue.(not on class quests anyway)

the main problem i have with pve is theres so much tedious repetitive stuff. dont get all self righteous about how "all mmos are repetitive" ive played enough mmos and rpgs to know thats true..but thats not what im talking about.

theyve tried to rely on a LOT of cloned quests to make up for slow lvling speed outside of grouped content. "cloned" means exactly what its supposed to mean...there are a lot of quests that go the exact same way...along with the "BONUS" quests that are only there to keep you in certain areas for an extended period of time to makeup for the lack of decent XP gains..

the class stories are fun but i find myself not wanting to do the other zone quests because theyre just filler around the class stories and theyre boring.

i fill in spaces in xp gains by doing space battles and pvp, but thats problematic in itself, since pvp is not balanced at all while lvling... even though it easily could be with a few tweaks the devs are most likely unwilling to make.

This argument has been debunked so many times...

@Galbatorrix:

I agree with you. I find going thru all the different class story quests entertaining. But, I am an ALToholic so this game fits my preferred play style ( grind alts). That said, I do get tired sometimes of the "same thing" again and again in the non-story quests and do mash my space bar quite frequently. I have the sub titles turned on and I just read thru the quests that I don't prefer to view again. I ALWAYS mash my space bar when its "alien language".

...why is this such a big surprise?
Many other MMO's give you a choice of where to level, typically two or three (sometimes more) areas where there are appropriate level quests. TOR gives you 1. So instead of mixing and matching where you go as you level, its always a straight line. After two or three times through its gets really dull - and this is coming from a guy who enjoys the questing in games.

The amount of class based quests totals something like 25% of the quests in game. That's not exactly a ton of unique or different content. So a large portion of the time, you are doing the same quests as you did on one of your other characters.
Meanwhile, in Tera general chat -

"The sad thing is, arguing with fanbois on the forums was more entertaining than their 300 million dollar single player MMO from 2008"

But to pay monthly is the new black!! hehe Do ANY game you want, disguise it as a MMO and then you can earn monthly money with little changes.

I'm the same sometimes. For instance, I got a Gunslinger (LS) up to level 28 on my old server (dead). On my new server, I rolled a Scoundrel instead and once I got to Taris, I just didn't feel like questing there again right now (I liked it the first few times I did it though). So, I did Hammer Station and Athiss until I got to level 23. Now, I can go to Taris, do my class story line and move on.

Honestly, this is one of the main reason I can't wait for the LFG tool. I love doing FPs and being able to spam them for a few days so I don't have to repeat certain planets will be very cool.

I might be wrong but I'm pretty sure the Jedi Knight had at least 1 option to level at 2 different planets. I was appropriate level for both planets and chose to level about 5 levels at one which brought me over the level gap for the other. All I did was the class quests on the 2nd planet which took me 20 minutes to complete and I never went back to that planet.

Either way. Games like WoW, which yes... does have multiple locations to level, unfortunately suffers from 'click accept' quests and completing similar quests anyway. You might as well be doing the same content and just not realize.

I'd say SWTOR has 2 unique playthroughs; 1 republic and 1 empire. You can play the game twice without repeating a single quest. However, if you have 3 characters and they are all empire back2back... you're going to have a bad time.

What i've done is play 1 republic then go empire, then go back to republic and finally to the empire again. Let's me play all 4 classes and refreshes my...cooldown, one each faction questlines. By the time I play that 2nd empire class i'll have forgotten my previous empire runthrough... more or less.

I have 3 50s with a fourth well on its way. (lvl 43)
But I have to agree with people that are posting, the only quest that are interesting the second or third time is class quest. Due to this I leveled my third character via PvP, fun, but slow as hell. took my a month to go from 34 to 50 ( also did class quests and quest on corellia, Ilum)
The 30 % boost to PvP (legacy) will help a lot for my last 4 characters.
Though i will probably wait awhile before leveling up my last 4 chars
Oh please I'm no hero, just rational.

Well, it's not like you have to do all of the side quests. The class quests have to go in order, but thanks to bonus series (for planets you enjoy), FPs, WZs and space missions, it's highly possible to skip entire planets (again, with the exception of the class quest).
