Why don't you play all 8 class story lines?

The sidequests ruin the class storyline for me as im not entirely focussed anymore on the main plot. I loved the class story but it would have been better without the sidequesting in between. This would make the trip from 1 to 50 100% unique aswell.

I probably would have chosen for the planetstories and heroic missions to be repeatable endgame content. But this is just the first thing that came to mind as to fill int he gap there are probably better solutions.

Dude ,useless thread. You should know by now people spend 60 bucks on games, get to the ending and then return them to gamestop. People do not try to complete the games and see 100% of it anymore. There are people quiting this game who have no clue about the different class quests or how the stories are interwoven.KOTOR 3 with co-op should have been what this game was about.
and the Force beat generic Swords and Magic any day. 8/26/14 That was my old signature but after RotHC, I went back to superheroes and swords and magic. Now waiting on Dragon Age and a SWTOR story expac for my Bioware fix 7/30/15 Returned for KotFE. Finally, a story expac.

I did play all 8 class story lines.

Finish them? Nope.

They got pretty bad in terms of quality and lost interest at certain points of their story lines, aside from the Bounty Hunter I've completed (blizz made it worth the time), everyone else I've left at 18-40s.

The other stories just aren't interesting enough to keep me playing, especially when I have to go through the same planet stories as well.

My thoughts on the other stories,
Spoiler

The stories just take too long to get interesting, and Act 1 is most often ridiculously long to get through and doesn't change the goal at all. Even act 2+ doesn't change the stories by much, and most are just stalling for time and sends you on yet another fetch quest. With the BH it made sense as that's how I made my living, hunting down one target after another and get loads of credits for them, but for everyone else? It was just boring.

This is a MMO. For some people, completing the game may be to finish all 8 class story lines. For others, it's about the PvE end game. And for others, it may be about the PvP end game. To each their own what they want to accomplish.

I have a main level 50 (bounty hunter), and I have several alts. I find PvE grinding very boring especially with the same side quests over and over. If you find the story arcs good, then great for you. For me, the story arcs are very formulaic. I rather be grinding war hero gear than to level another 50 and grind war hero gear again.

Interesting perspective. I never quite understood why someone at 50 could repeat the same OP or Flashpoint day in and day out, repeat the same dailies, repeat the same Raids, and not be bored...but to them repeating side and planetary quests IS boring.

Because they force you to do all the side quests, which represent at least 75% of the quests you'll be doing to level up. Nobody wants to do those over and over. And that whole no grinding thing? Yea, a quest to kill 35 mobs is nothing but a grind in disguise.
Looking for a good woman. Able to clean, cook, sew, catch bait, and clean fish. Must have boat and motor.

you really dont see the big damage this promote for alts on a MMO does

first of all, it make really hard for players to develop a pride or identify with they faction
you level your first character to 50 and then, instead of find a guild for PVE or PVP or do it by your own
and find thing to do and do it at your own time, NO
you have to go and reroll a ALT, because you want to see the next story, this means you stop playing one cap toon
guilds have a hard time keeping up because people is not stable, they just will be one day here and the next
in the other faction, and the next back in other toon

this is a MMO, not a single player game, roll alts should be a option for people that want to do it, NOT something
that is obligated, because the game DO NOT HAVE enough endgame for keep up.
so all this saying people should roll 8 alts its pure BS, a game based on ALTS and not endgame its a single player game.
if thats the case this game is not better than D3, there you can roll 5 classes and see some dialogues change
just like this one. and the story gets dam boring and repetitive after 2/3 50s.

so MR OP, its cool you love to play alts, thats your way to have fun in the game, but dont come saying thats what all should do, because that is not the way a MMO should be develop, but i assume you are very new to this kind of games. hope you enjoy your single player game with online features.

I have one each of every class. Three level 50's, two level 30's and three in the 10-20 range. I have and am still enjoying the class stories for those that I have not maxed out yet. I am also enjoying doing high end content such as HM Flashpoints and Ops with my 50's. The ONLY downside I have with my alts is the side quests being redundant. Some of them are interesting but after the 3rd and 4th time through they are just "fill". Overall, I still enjoy the game and playing each of my 8 characters.

Give me an MMO that I can visit and have fun! Where what I pay for is not going to those that play for free.

Yep, this is the trick I learned early on. After completing Jedi Knights, switching to Sith Warrior, and then back to Smuggler, the faction quests (planet and side) feel more fresh. It also helps that my Smuggler seems to be outleveling content more than my Jedi Knight (who was pretty much on level). This way my Smuggler can skip some repeated content.

If that is the point of this game then why would it need to be an MMO? If the point of this game is to do all of the story lines, it could be a multiplayer console game or a non MMORPG.
