Why don't you play all 8 class story lines?

... because the class stories make up such a small percentage of your actual experience that it makes playing the different classes extremely repetitive.

Your response to this is that the game isn't for people with similar opinions to mine.

I guess upwards of 1.1 million people felt the same way.

I've got 3 50s now in a game that is only 6 months old and my server is a ghost town. This game wasn't advertised as the MMO where you level alts for content, it was advertised as a normal MMO. Leveling an alt should be something you want to do to see how another class plays, not something you have to do due to lack of content.
Actually, it was heavily advertised as an alt-oholic based game. Designed for the people like me who played KOTOR 1&2 over 20 times....lol. Probably why I love it so much.

The class stories are 40-50% of the reason I play this game and I really wish I had the patience to play them all. The only thing preventing me from doing that are all the other quests, doing 1-50 in pure questing 4 times is enough for me, though I might try leveling some through PvP (or FPs once the LFG comes online) and then go to each planet purely to do the class stories.

Can you link me to those ads where they say its a game that's meant to be played with alts?

Don't get me wrong the planet and side quests are typically average (much like RIFT & WoW), so there's no point in complaining about those. That's the standard type of MMO questing we've come to expect. But those class quests are frickin AMAZING! That's what puts SWTOR above the others.

But you can't expect the whole leveling experience to be just class quests. That would have cost even more money to implement.

So which is it? SWTOR is either an exciting new foray into storytelling in games or it's another mediocre rehash of the same tired questing mechanics found in other games--with super-cool voice action!

I've got an entire guild that's still playing and having fun on a "dead server" with maybe 20 people on the fleet during peak time. We're probably the only guild that's still active on that server. But guess what? We're still enjoying ourselves and aren't planning on going anywhere.
