Sorry, latest news is fall, so anywhere between September and November. Probably a Thanksgiving launch, as it's one of the typical launch windows.

I wonder if Lucasarts and Bioware knew going into this deal that EA considered Star Wars to be not as important as "Madden, Fifa, or Need for Speed, or The Sims or Sim City or Medal of Honor." If I was giving the Star Wars license to a company I would expect it to be their top priority. This isn't some small or mid tier franchise we are talking about, this is freaking Star Wars! I can't imagine a franchise that has made more money with combined sales of everything than Star Wars. To put Star Wars below Sim City, Need for Speed and Medal of Honor is so beyond stupid I'm actually laughing just thinking about it.

Completely agreed. I mean, fiscally I can understand. But he does seem to be disregarding its potential.

Yes. He is full of crap.

This game was a huge staple during their investor calls leading up to launch of SWTOR.

Its nothing but WS spin to sooth investors and calm speculations on his companies stock.

They looked to WoW and desperately have been trying to mimic that cash cow for a while now.

Funny how he says SWTOR is a success, but BioWare cutback the staff.

And the effed up part about all of this is that this game could have easily killed WoW, except for the fact that EA has forced terrible decisions to be made, and more importantly, Bioware clearly has no idea what the correct decisions are. They released all the wrong stuff at the wrong time and then made like 900 servers and put about 15 of us on each of them, making the game virtually unplayable.

It's like what it would have been like if Nazi Germany had developed nukes but figured they'd get around to developing the "Detonate" button sometime in the Spring of 1952, or when ever they felt it was ready.

Dumb moves all around.
OMG is that Nautilus?!?

TOR's important but EA has much bigger fish to fry.
While I understand the idea of sunken/lost costs, you don't spend a suspected $200 million on a game in the hopes that you'll make $180 million. You also don't hint as broadly as possible in multiple interviews that you're gunning for WoW and only end up with 1.3 million subs and dropping. See where the idea for this being "spun" information is coming from now?
Edited because the devs appear to have fixed at least 80% of the crap that was pissing me off.

Once the game is more stable I'm sure there will be a massive marketing campaign which will bring possibly millions of new players.

Funny how you don't understand that those 2 things aren't related.
