Companion stats

I was looking at one of my companions stats, and noticed that his primary stat did not seem to do as much as power could.
For augment slots, would it be best to just overload your companions with power?
I have not tested at all very much, so just looking for anything helpful : )

Torian (unbuffed)
757-907 damage
415.4 melee bonus
681.2 tech bonus

+13 Aim
-29 power

753-903 damage
411.4 melee bonus
677.1 tech bonus

Question is: Would Aim still be better than power for him, since it was only +13 aim, but -29 power?

For anyone interested
(on Torian)
5 aim = 1 bonus melee damage
~4.4 power = 1 bonus melee damage

So, power does do more for straight bonus damage, but only slightly.
However... couple things to keep in mind.
Aim increases bonus damage and crit chance
If you have access to the inquisitor/consular buff, that will give you 5% increased aim.
The warrior/knight buff increases bonus damage by 5%.
Aim will kind of double dip in a sense that you get 5% more aim from inquisitor buff, increasing your bonus damage, which then is increased by 5% from warrior buff.

Just what I found, in case anyone else was curious as well

Could also say

1 primary stat = 0.20 bonus damage
1 power = 0.23 bonus damage

However primary stat gives both bonus damage and crit chance.
Power gives only bonus damage, nothing else.
and how buffs work and so on...

Pretty much for everyone
