You need to re-read what he wrote if you think he was defending Bioware.

Yeah, I'm really concerned that one of "you" thinks my post lacks validity.

I'm not the one posting hate day after day on a message board for a game that I completely despise. The lives some people live, I guess.

Bioware has no problem taking my money why shouldn't we hold them to a higher standard?
BINGO!!.

Anyone who has been around with this company/game for more than a couple of months already knows how this team works.

If you have been here since release and still want to "give BIo a break fellas, geez!" then you are a true fan and can't be swayed.

It's really simple to surmise by yourself, and for yourself ,the state of a game

1. Has the population grown or waned since launch?

2. is it fun repeating it more than once?

3. do you see a positive learning curve or quick response from passed mistakes the Dev team have made?

4.Do you feel encouraged, excited or disappointed by new content or additions to the game?

5.Are you getting enough content influx at end game to keep you interested?

6.Are you excited enough by the game over time that it still keeps you as active as day one up to day 180?

If you say yes to all these answers congratulations you found your game .

The more NO answers you give the shorter your stay.

Don't buy the hype or excuses.

It's your money they have to earn it

I don't despise this game. Check my sig. I am angry that the game is now unplayable for me.
And if talking to one of "Me" upsets you so much you can certainly find another thread to troll.
Seriously, is it so important to you that you have to come fight "ME" on a forum?
The lives some people live, I guess.

See, I notice you aren't responding to what I'm saying. Just insulting me as a whiner or hater or whatever. Kind of shows me where "YOU" are coming from.

OP, it's a different generation out there today. I'm not really sure that patience is handed out in such doses anymore.

The things that gamers used to put up with and work around have now become sources of rage and angst. People calling a game a failure 1 month, 2 months, 3 months, 4-5 months into its life span because it didn't automatically kill off the #1 MMO in the world for the past 8 years.

Makes no sense to me, really, but at least that seems to be the frequent representation on the forums. Personally, I've only hit 50 with one character, and haven't even completed the story line for that one yet, although I suspect I'm close. But knowing what I know about the game, I think I can safely say I'll be here for another 6+ months at least, perhaps more, running through other story lines with more characters. I've got a smuggler and a consular to bring up, as well as a Sith warrior, so I'm good to go for a bit, and that's even if they didn't add anything into the game for 6+ months!

Once paid transfers are made available I can bring my Sentinel and Agent and Bounty Hunter over from my old server, and I still need to finish those as well.

After all of that, I fully expect Chapters 4-6 to have been released, which then just extends it all out further.

I'd also imagine that the developers are looking at ways to add more sandbox / intermission gameplay items into the game in order to keep people entertained in between story chapters.

But as the OP said.... hanging around for that to be produced and added will take... patience... Hopefully there's a core group of gamers of a substantial number that are willing to wait it out and enjoy the rest of the game in the mean time.

We'll see... because the story of The Old Republic has not yet been written in its entirety...

it doesn't matter if it is your FIRST mmo or your 100th. Companies need to do their research before making and organizing content. If multiple companies come out saying "this idea was a complete and total screw up", think of something else. BW, didn't.
^This. Who cares if Bioware is inexperienced? Though I'm pretty certain they did hire people who have worked on MMO's before just for this game, if so that invalidates the inexperienced argument. The biggest issue as as the guy I quoted said, that MMO's aren't new, and yet Bioware is ignoring the mistakes of previous games and flops. It's almost as if they didn't look at any previous MMO before to learn what to do and what not to do.

So if someone is posting "hate" everyday ,they are wasting their lives...

...and if someone post "I love Bioware" post everyday ,their life is meaningful and fulfilling.

Got it. Makes perfect sense. Please see signature.
