After telling me that the patcher service is temporarily unavailable, I tried to run fixpatcher.exe, and it seems to just shut down halfway through the process -- I log back into the launcher and after it updates, I'm told the same thing. What exactly should I do here besides cancel my account?

Hello imsoemokthx,
Please check if the following possible workarounds resolve this issue for you:
  • Delete the "assets_swtor_main.version" file in the assets folder of Star Wars: The Old Republic.
  • If you see a "launcher.exe.update" file in your root folder of Star Wars: The Old Republic, please rename it and afterwards run the fixlauncher.exe
  • Start the launcher and uncheck "remember account". Delete your account name, restart the launcher and re-enter your account information.
  • Reset your SWTOR password and try a not already used one.
Last but not least, please run the launcher "as administrator" and re-add the swtor.exe and launcher.exe to the whitelist of your firewall and antivirus-application.
