See i can agree with that, but i am seeing less interest in Mist of Pandera if anything

Yeah...works great. The drops are not up to the normal and heroic level ones, but they are better than what you can get in 5 man heroics. And best of all the player gets to experence the end game content. They are very successful. I run 6 chars thru them each week. Have been sence it was added a few months ago.

If I recall correctly, WoW had over 12 million subs at the end of TBC and now it has 10.2 million (last time I checked), which means through WotLK and Cata (ever since the launch of LFD, and eventually, LFR) The game has lost 1.8 million active subscriptions, not to mention that the game has, in total, lost more subscribers than it has ever had.

Coincidentally, the drop in numbers has nothing to do with LFD or LFR.

Actually WoW's sub numbers peaked during WOTLK. We should know before too long what thier sub rate is the last quarter.

Can we leave WoW and MoP out of this? What wow sub have anything to do with LFG tool? LFG tool make game more open, more comfortable to play, more casual gamers friendly. What can be more casual than Star Wars? its like fairy tales we all grew on. Why block raiding content for 1% of hardcore raiders and put some story in there?

And the low population on SWTOR servers has nothing to do with few people on the servers. Oh wait...

You're not recalling correctly. WoW subscription rates were already dropping in 2009 and after the LFD was implemented in patch 3.3 the numbers went back up where it eventually peaked at around 12 million with the release of cataclysm before dropping again.

Here's why I dont like xLFG. Everything has to be dumbed down to the lowest common denominator, people that want the best rewards for as little effort as possible. Cataclysm was interesting at launch, bosses weren't just faceroll and required attention, but that was too much for the "casual" (read as facerollers that watch TV while playing).

Dragon Soul patch launches and were back to 3 hallway 4 rooms dungeon format. No effort required to even look at the screen, half a faceroll and click need or greed. Guess I need to remember that today's gamer, effort is a four letter word, an anathema

Realize maybe that Blizzard wants to design content that everyone can see and they already offer hard mode raids for the cutting edge players. I'm sure Bioware will realize sooner or later looking at their telemetry that their design going into FPs and OPs is more or less wasted because this game lacks decent LFG tools. Oh look they already changed their design philosophy so normal modes are now "story" modes.
