When I think of Swtor it does have better combat flow / abilities but after playing satire for 4 months and Gw2 for a couple nights it is easy to see that gw2 is a far superior game in most categories.

I still like swtor but it is fairly small feeling and very repetitive (wzs over and over for war hero gear anyone??? Imp huttball???).

For those complaining about gw2 downtime I loos. It is B E T A.

It wasn't down at all during my playtimes though which was great so far.

SWTOR needs to get to work if we don't want to see many of the pvpers bail when GW2 does release (no date set).

Crafting system - really bad, balance awful, warzones boring.
Lvling is fun. Couldnt test WvW maybe its cool.
Niman Eu - Desu Wicked - Scoundrel 80+ Valor rank

The graphics are way better in GW2 then WoW, extremely better.

Claiming that STOR has the exact same combat as WoW makes me cringe, its so clunky and unpolished compared to WoW.

I see your point, it's beta. But I played SWTOR in beta and it felt amazing, GW2 did not.
By the time GW2 is released SWTOR will have all the features it needs, and maybe some more. The potential SWTOR has is much bigger than GW2.

Ok, so it attempts to make the same exact combat as WoWs, even down to the skills, but has flaws compared to WoWs.

This is the same forum where we were assured that GW2 would put the nail in SWTOR's coffin and that durign beta weekend, even Heavy servers would change to Light...

to be fair, SWTOR's mass beta was really close to release, it was more stress testing then anything else. Guild Wars 2 mass beta testing seems to be barely out of Alpha test with lots and lots of work still to be done. Basically what I am saying is that GW2 and SWTORs mass beta testing were/are being done at different points in development respectively, basically GW2 mass beta testing is being done a whole lot earlier then SWTORs was.

Per torstatus.net, " Senator Contispex" has the lowest server load of any server in the game (well, tied with U.S. server "Anturi Reach"). Was it Light when you rolled on it?

In a few weeks you will have server transfers. Or you can start some Alts on your new server. There are always options: The choice is yours.

When I played GW2 for the first time I was thinking "Been here done this.". Star Wars wasnt all orcs and crap it was something different. Cut scenes etc I like better than reading text. The whole being able to upgrade armor and have it be useful at 50 when you got it at lvl 10 is another great feature.

Ok it is F2P but realistically it isn't that free. Any business out there is out to make a profit above all else. Just with any MMO they have to have an income that exceed's their output obviously. Paying 15 per month covers the costs of most MMO's these days. That is for staff, servers etc...

Now GW2 needs to cover costs as well so they set up micro transactions, again they are out to make a profit. The attitude you can see here as well other MMO's is people want the best gear without having to jump through hoops to get it. Go and look through the forums and you will see it everywhere, people whining about grinding for the Best PVP gear, or whining for the beat PVE gear but have no time to raid and thing that is unfair.

Now playing off that weakness GW2 sets up micro transactions to get some of the best stuff. Now you can get what you want instantly but just need to fork out real dollars for it. This can cost more then a 2 month sub in any other MMO. Again a bit of time goes by and they release some cooler/better gear and here you go again forking out the cash and so on and so forth. After a year you can nearly spend twice what you would if you were paying for a years sub.

Remember, this is a business and they are out to make a profit.

Dynamic Events almost remind me of the rifts in well Rift. After about 2 days of that it got tiring fast.

I'll be honest outright, haven't played the beta, never played GW at all have read and watched what I could on it be a little bit informed and nothing jumped at me at all.
