honestly I think people are becoming way too demanding in the forums.

I love the idea of a one time event that starts unexpectedly and ends just as quickly... although bioware did tell us here when it ended, which they didnt have too.

I love the excitement that it created and the thought that anyday I could log in to another event that could be around for a few hours or a few days and poof... just like real life...

I watched the forums and saw people say that "they have to" do this or "they need to" do that because blah blah blah.... The world is evolving... things happen... i think its awesome

This is an event where it was possible to get far more DNA than you would really need for the merchandise. It was kind of obvious from the start that such vendors would be appearing again, and likely on different worlds. Chances are that we will be seeing this happen again on Alderaan or Hoth within the next month, or at least next two.

Save them and then when the next event happens, sell what you have for a bunch of money. I'm going to bet they will have new items in there and there are always a few that want to be the first on their server to get something.

The event itself will not be returning, to quote a recent interview "It’s important to BioWare that the Rakghoul plague is a one-off." So, take from that what you will.

Let's look at this from an RP angle: (This is an mmoRPG, isn't it?)

Jeelvic knows the Rakghoul plague isn't a threat anymore but still wants to collect the DNA samples so he sticks around for anyone that might be holding on to a few.

I honestly don't see a good reason for him to disappear with the plague. The only benefit I see is for two types of players:

1. "I'm gonna get rich on these things I collected"
2. "I'm cooler than you because you don't play as often and/or stay up to date on the news so I'm gonna flame you in the forums."

I just don't see the harm in leaving him around for a while. I think it pleases a small portion of the TOR community and displeases the majority.

The 'news team' and the broadcasts all over Fleet every 2 minutes for a solid week were perfect opportunities for in-game updates. Hell, I think the news pods, and maybe the broadcasts <just not so often> should stay in game and update people. Why not? It's immersive, it's easy, it's sensible, it makes a LOT more sense than trying to alt-tab out and then dig through the mess to find an answer to something that should suggest itself ingame already anyway.

Could have given some up and coming tech company <ingame> credit for the vaccine and subsequent erradication of the plague; could EASILY have announced the date the plague was expected to be contained, and the travel restrictions lifted.

Another perfect RP solution.

I still say the greedy Jawa should have stuck around to get a few more samples.

At the end of the event, you cannot get a quest to gain SUPER TOKENS. That's the end of the event. But. .... I you still have SUPER TOKENS. Why would the turn in end when the event ends?

It's kind of like if you had a sales job and they had an event: "Earn a SUPER CARD for every day you make X amount of commision! This lasts a week! You can turn in SUPER CARDS to the designated SUPER CARD computer and get some crap." So by Wednesday, you got a bunch of SUPER CARDS but had a vacation scheduled. "All good, I'll just turn them in when I get back. I know I won't be able to get more because the event ends on Saturday night, but I've got enough."

You get back on Tuesday, and see that the SUPER CARD computer has been removed from the breakroom.

Yeah, that makes sense.

You go around saying, "Uh, I have all these SUPER CARDS, why can't I get my crap?" And others that didn't have a vacation say, "Well, on Friday, they said we needed to turn them in, or be stuck. I'm glad, because if it were brought back, all of my crap wouldn't be as cool".

Fantastic.

Yeah that's not going to piss anyone off.
So you expect them to extend the Super Card program cause one person went on vacation? To just proved my previous point. Thanks.
That's why they call it space, cause there is so much of it.
