The voice over is cool, the quests are fun but the overall feel of the game is more of a first person epic alt rolling adventure. The PVP is very WoW orientated, look they even tried to put in a rated system like the Arenas. The gear grind just turned into a gear abortion. Balance changes that made it totally unbalanced. When you are on a pvp server and the most people on a open pvp planet is 3 then there is something wrong with this game. Everyone rerolled fatman just to have some sort of feeling of a full server. Anyway there is nothing else out there right now and nothing to come in the future. Maybe that is the reason why I am so disappointed in this game. We were told this game was going to have a ton to offer, but in the end they fell very short. To much time spent on voice acting, and pretty worlds, not enough time on real game content and overall pvp
You sir, will never enjoy MMOs beyond your first. Go find a DM and play D&D if you want a never repeating experience. Tha might take having friends with imagination and patience tough. Hmmm better keep QQing for things you'll never get.

Fixes are not always as easy as it might seem. And MMOs will ALWAYS require "fixes". They are a work in progress which is one of the things I most like about MMOs. Not that things break, that can be annoying but that there is always something upcoming.
Agreed they are a working progress, but why give us a content patch that has no true content and leave stuff out that needed to be fixed. That just shows me they are losing subs and are trying to find ways to keep people signed up. Hell giving us a free 30 days is just becuase the end of the 1st quarter is comming and numbers is something they need in order to appease the investors. Why is it people so easily forget that EA already killed a major MMO project. The scale may have not been a large but the investment of time and energy was. Warhammer and the path EA took is a perfect example for what we should expect in the next year to come. Hey look its already happening, ask anyone who played Warhammer from its launch.

Also..

can you still get purple color crystals in the game anywhere?
1-50 game is fine but once you hit 50 and start doing endgame content you quickly realize games short comings...if this had been a single player game there wouldnt be any complaints unfortunately... it is an mmo and comes with all things make mmos blarg.

however as an mmo its pretty standard.

Guess we have a difference of opinion and one of us has a lot more patience than the other.

I love the game and the full voice acting but once you hit max level there really isnt much to do but pvp i wish there was more end game content and more socialization factor besides hanging around in the fleet

Why has it gotten to the stage where 'you' only do things for upgrades, i love running flashpoints in all the modes because i enjoy them. Did exactly the same thing in wow. I ran mara multiple times not because i wanted the loot but because i loved the instance, same for ubrs, lbrs, strat 45, DM and scholo in vannila.

It would be so much easier to do ops and fp if there was an lfg tool

I think, for many, the carrot/stick thing got ingrained which is precisely what was wanted by a game's creators. What better way to keep people engrossed than to offer THINGS so that they would keep on keepin' on because there were new THINGS. Brilliant it is if your goal is to retain people using essentially the same content.

Fails with me. I'm just stubborn enough where I can't be tempted by "shinies". If I enjoy content, I will repeat it, if I do not, the "über sword of ungodly smite-age" ain't gonna motivate me.

So, I'm a "fail" with that approach. Conversely, if I do enjoy something...like the class stories in this game, then I'm just as bad as those who chase the "shinies". I will continue 'til it's no longer fun...for me.

It might be quicker but it wouldnt be easier, this goes to what i said in what you quoted me. A huge swathe of the playerbase just refuse todo anything that isnt an upgrade for them. They dont find the fun in the instances or the challange within them or just doing them with friends enough.

They will only do them if they have a % chance of getting an upgrade. With them having that stance in there mindset there shall never be enough content as they will only do brand new things that have brand new upgrades for them.

Of which was the reason for the huge gear curve that bliz are now trying to address in wow. Its a short term mindset by any mmo developer that does that due to people at the front will have huge upgrades over people just getting to the start point.

The people infront wont go back to old content meaning the mmo devs have to bunnyhop those to catch up making previous content irrelivent and unplayed.
