This article corrilates Harware sales and software sales together
with a quote saying from said article stating "It’s a bit worrisome that game sales of both hardware and software are down a full 25% from last year. Most of the drop is credited to a decrease in hardware sales."

Remember, I'm talking development budgets, not marketing also. SWTOR's $200 million doesn't include marketing.

Here's a list up til 2010, with GTA4 topping it at $100 million. No Madden listed there, as the license is probably the only expensive part of it.

World of Warcraft cost $63 million to develop.

SWTOR doesnt have a 200 million dollar advertising budget. So thats really not saying much. Fact is MW2 cost more then SWTOR.

So I guess EA spent zero dollars marketing SWTOR is what you're saying. Nice of all those networks to give them free advertising during prime time.

that could be used for every single internet discussion..

Lucas did most of the advertising for bioware by slapping the swtor add on the back of the star wars 3d advert. Coincidence on the timing of the film..... me thinks not.
