Because he's saying you should only have access to the forums with a credit card subscription set to repeat (which wouldn't actually stop anyone if they were determined anyway, but never mind).

Not with game time.
Real Star Wars space combat please, not Star Wars Fox! Maybe some PvP and flight too?

Activision is on the same level actualy - they don't bother patching the things they've messed up and abandon their titles exactly 1 year after. The thing is that today the gaming industry is ruled by people who are buisnessmans not a gamers at all. Hopefully this bubble will explode some day and we will back to the place where games were created from love to gaming, not from love to money as life has proven that even games with low budged can be far more entertaining than so called "AAA titles" with milions of dollars budget. I believe if BW had free hand at making SWTOR they wouldn't copy WoW at all and the game would go live 1 or even 2 years later. It's a miracle they actualy convinced EA for voice acting (which is a very nice feature but overall is considered useless @ long runs in MMO genre) - today sadly there are very few who are willing to experiment.

If I were going to leave SWTOR, I would have no desire or incentive to try and get others to do the same.

So… it begs the question, is there is interest that is driving them?
It's anger driving them and rightfully so

Thank you dear Taoretas.
Why?

You are implying that I would eat food if i would've been given it for free, Yes I probably would.
However, and listen good, You got free food, you dislike it right now yet you eat it?
You are the one that doesn't understand the point, I do and you don't.
I think you should reconsider spending those 30 days doing something else, I can't imagine a human being (not forced) be at a computer during the days (don't got a job I guess) Doing This? posting negative comments on a forum for people that like a star wars game, Cheeze I thought I wasted my life, I'm actually glad we met, now I can go do nothing for 5 hours and still be proud I've done more then somone else might've.
Ps you don't call people you don't know "dear" it's disrespectful, Thank you

This is true, unfortunately. Many who are waving the "I've cancelled my sub" flag are actually still logging in and playing. I think what they don't realize, though, is that unlike other developers, BioWare has the metrics tools that tell them exactly how much they log in and for how long they're logged in. Even where they are and what they do, how often they die and where, you name it.

So, they're not fooling anyone that matters...

And for the few that have actually stopped logging in, BioWare knows who they are, and more importantly, how many they actually are.

So do you think no effort should be make to get anyone back that left or to change the issues that caused them to leave in the first place?

Why on earth would you think that? (do you think they should remove the quick travel improvements and UI improvements as well? )

SWTOR can easily continue with ~500,000 subs (or even less), but it's never going to be the game it could have been with 2,000,000+ subs.

Perhaps therein lies the difference? Very few of us are die-hard fans of SW. Sure, we've seen the movies, some of us have read (some/most of) the books. We're mainly waaaaay back MMO-vets with patience. That last part, I think, plays a big part. We just all gravitated together, are casual and having a lot of fun.

Takes all kinds.

Not with game time.
You can have a credit card on file and still pay with a gametime card #1 and #2 the game has no idea if you are gametime or credit card. Just if you hit cancel sub or not is all it would know.
