where is your source for that.... aka you have no proof there will be any mass exodus.

The game is a solid MMO as is.... many of the players here have come from other Games ( I came from WoW and before that SWG and UO). UO was a great game until they turned it to nothing but item based.. WoW was item based from the beginning so it wasn't so bad. Reason I left WoW... I had 12 level 85 toons 3 of which were extremely well geared... I was bored of the same ole same ole.

You will find out that MMO's getting boring and players will take breaks.. and come back then take another break..
this all reflects on the companies subscription rates. But as i said the the game is solid. you have to give it time to grow tho. If you come in here expecting it to be everything that the giants ( namely WoW ) are then you are not going to liek the game. But for anyone that has spent any time playing MMO's that just started out you will notice that this game is leap and bounds ahead of them.

Eitherway... personally I hope they don't go the way of SWG... it was very flawed. The game itself was so unbalanced that you only saw one class. Honestly where is the fun in that? Eitherway I'll prolly play ToR til I get bored and then take a break... during that break I may play WoW or I just may take a actual break from mmo's but I know I won't be completely done with ToR because In my eyes, this game has a long life ahead of it.

The guild I’m in is a multi-gaming guild and this weekend we had influx of people needing re-invites as they were leaving SWTOR for WoW, and was told there will be more. The reasoning was the same that has been mentioned over and over, they had run all the 50 stuff and were tired of it, no hate for the game just boredom.

Oh and I got a "Mako is missing your adventures" e-mail asking me to log back in that really made me cringe..

I'm in the MOP beta too found it boring...not even as good as Cata and Cata sucked. Content locust will never like anything but WoW because you can grind endlessly. I'll stick with TOR thanks.

Didn't you hear? There has been a "OMGzorz Msss exodus!!!!!!" since Alpha......yet every time Daniel Erickson is asked the subs still hasn't dropped, the thing is if these people actually quit then they couldn't doomcry on the forums.

So all the bug fixes in the patch notes are figments of our imagination?

Everything falls appart over time. Of course this game has fallen a bit since launch. How far will it fall. Not much further I think.

I have seen people just stop logging in, but I have also seen level 12s running around on CE speeders. If there are more people like me (and I think there are quite a few) I can't get enough of this game. I can see myself playing this game for years. That is not me being a fanboy. I just really like the game. I think there are many who do as well. There is enough out there to keep this game healthy for quite awhile.

for those of you saying that subs have not dropped try playing on my server where last night from 8 to 12 central time the fleet had 13 players on the high end and 3 when i signed off. this morning we have a whopping 5 people on the fleet. i had mail from 2 more players today telling me they had already unsubed that you can add to a list of about 10 others i know that already unsubed. you guys want to defend the game because why? stop listening to all the hype the FACT is people are leaving the game and it is not due to anything other than Biowares failures at open world pvp, a lack of an ability to address the real issue at hand, a.k.a. server transfers ( and do not tell me they are working on it) I have read the dev post and know about the pacific transfers but this does nothing for those of us who are STILL waiting for transfers here in the US. When we ask for a time line we are told that they are working very hard to ensure players on every server have the best experience they can. *** does that even mean? How can we enjoy the game if no one is on-line to even play with? They boasted 2 years before the game was even out that they had the best PVP ever, they told us this was the next gen MMO and this is what we get. A abandoned open world pvp system, that might add they gave up on only months after the game went live, which i guess is ok because it was broken from launch until they walked away from it. Updates that need 3 or 4 patches after launch. A legacy system and a gear update with a ranked pvp system that doesn't even work and no idea as to when it will be functional, 1 added war zone, and servers that have no one on them. So the next time you guys want to quote statistics of dropping populations please include all the screw ups and failures to address the real issues people are leaving the game for instead of copping out to the idea that every new mmo has server decline a few months after start up. people are leaving because the devs overall have failed to meet the expectations they set, not anyone else.

i think he is right when he says there will be a mass exodus, for those of us on servers where a population is basically no existent. there really is no reason to stick around if they wont allow us to transfer to a populated server and 90% of the servers are now non populated.

There will be a large number of people that signed up for 3 or 6 months (I know most of my guild did), they might all not be playing now but with the first 30 days and now the free month their sub wont expire till end May /end August respectively.

That's a controbuting factor to the high sub numbers but people playing less (er...differently) as per his comments.

The main issue is that the game (like WoW) is just too easy..strategies and tactics are too simple. Lets compares to a game like EQ2.

EQ2, it took perhaps a year to get to 50 for a first time, non twinked player.
Combat consisted of either grouping up, having a tank artfully "pull" a mob, avoiding agro and trains. Every fight had some adrenalin..something that could go wrong, be it pathers, a mob breaking mez/stun, mobs resisting taunt, etc.
It might take 4 hours plus worth of killing to get a good drop in a certain area, and to see your xp bar even move noticeably. It was a grind, true, but also a challenge.

Invis and sneaking felt real. You were actually allowed to wander through "enemy territory" to get to that one mob, or spawn you needed. Agro radiuses were real, and consequences were dire.

Soloing could be very challenging. Tactics like root and nuke, charm soloing, etc could easily go wrong and kill you. Death had REAL penalties, a single death could wipe our HOURS of leveling XP. EQ1 was even worse, with "corpse runs" necessary to get the items from your body before it decayed.

Raiding was REAL. There is nothing even close to breaking the Plane of Fear in this game.

The quests all sucked though, which is the one thing SWTOR does better. Unfortunately, SWTOR looks like it was designed for the WOW/xbox generation, where all rewards need to come now, where strategy and tactics, unless in a raid wasn't necessary.
