No one will ever make you happy: not Bioware, Not EA, not me, not your lover, not your friends, no one.
The only one that can make you happy or sad or blissful or mad, is YOU. You own your emotions, no one else. If you chose to be angry over something you can't control, that's totally on you.

I learned long ago that to be really happy, I had to learn to chose my battles. I had to accept that there was going to be things out there that I couldn't change. Bioware is doing it's best to provide a service worthy of it's customers. It's unfortunate that some people will chose to see this as a negative and chose to suffer because of it. It IS a choice. Whether you believe that or not, is up to you.

This is my normal play time as well. I pay to play just like everyone else, the difference is how I chose to react to the downtime. For me, it's just a minor annoyance..like a mosquito bite. I can't change the fact that the servers will come down when they do, just like I can't stop a mosquito that i don't see from biting me.

I've been playing MMO's since 1998..and i can honestly and easily say that SW:TOR has had very little downtime in these first few months(in 2 days it' will have been out a whole 4 months) compared to almost every other game I've played. To patch the patch that patched the patch is not uncommon or unheard of. It quite normal really.

Considering the fact that prime time in North America garners the most active players, it's not really any wonder why they chose to implement their patches when the vast majority of their player base is sleeping. I'm going to chose to be thankful that it's only a 4 hour patch and not 12 hours..or more.

In the end, how you chose to react to server downtime is up to you. You can let it annoy you if you want, but I'm not sure why you'd want to grief yourself like that. Maybe some small part of you enjoys being irrate? Maybe it's some kind of cry for attention. I honestly don't know.

For me, I'll read the forums a bit more then go read a book and come back and play a bit more when the servers come back up.
I didn't read what you wrote, but I appreciate that you have enough time to write it, because servers are down, yet again.

Why are they out to screw Oceanic people so much.
First you couldn't get the game digitially at the same time as everyone else and the only way you could get it is by ordering from Amazon in America. Which I did not do.
Then when I finally get the game because it becomes available legitimately, 3 months after everyone else has been playing it I find out that all scheduled maintenance is during our peak hours and despite having local servers they haven't organised sufficient staff to run patches on independent time schedules.
Then on top of that all unscheduled maintenance is done during Oceanic peak hours too.
It's a pretty sad state of affairs that such a global company is so poor at global marketing.

Surely they can see that if they want to retain customers they need to implement some better strategies.

While we are the only ones that can make ourselves truly happy, there are PLENTY of people that can anger us VERY easily.

The easiest way to prevent this? Give a reason why you're doing things that piss people off, and then accept the criticism and find a way to remedy the problem.
