maintenance, why so much

I fell for no trap. My female wifey plays during the day when she isn't doing dishes or laundry. We play on the same account until I can kick her off. It's hard because same account = clean britches.

Paid for a product. Cannot use product. Asked to be patient while product is being fixed. Asked to renew subscription and pay more for product while unuseable.

True story.

I liked the idea of dividing the hours by the days by the scrip and they have to at least pretend to fork that out and see if it's worth it.

It's been an interesting read, that's for sure. I've smiled a few times, I must admit. Human nature has always facinated me. People just don't seem to realize that the power for happiness and true bliss, lies solely with themselves.

The only one that can make you happy or sad or blissful or mad, is YOU. You own your emotions, no one else. If you chose to be angry over something you can't control, that's totally on you.

I learned long ago that to be really happy, I had to learn to chose my battles. I had to accept that there was going to be things out there that I couldn't change. Bioware is doing it's best to provide a service worthy of it's customers. It's unfortunate that some people will chose to see this as a negative and chose to suffer because of it. It IS a choice. Whether you believe that or not, is up to you.

This is my normal play time as well. I pay to play just like everyone else, the difference is how I chose to react to the downtime. For me, it's just a minor annoyance..like a mosquito bite. I can't change the fact that the servers will come down when they do, just like I can't stop a mosquito that i don't see from biting me.

I've been playing MMO's since 1998..and i can honestly and easily say that SW:TOR has had very little downtime in these first few months(in 2 days it' will have been out a whole 4 months) compared to almost every other game I've played. To patch the patch that patched the patch is not uncommon or unheard of. It quite normal really.

Considering the fact that prime time in North America garners the most active players, it's not really any wonder why they chose to implement their patches when the vast majority of their player base is sleeping. I'm going to chose to be thankful that it's only a 4 hour patch and not 12 hours..or more.

In the end, how you chose to react to server downtime is up to you. You can let it annoy you if you want, but I'm not sure why you'd want to grief yourself like that. Maybe some small part of you enjoys being irrate? Maybe it's some kind of cry for attention. I honestly don't know.

For me, I'll read the forums a bit more then go read a book and come back and play a bit more when the servers come back up.

And made no sense doing it cause they are 2 completely different situations. Yes, if i rent a car and they need it back for 4 days to clean the windshield, in reality, they wont charge you for those days, they would provide you a replacement car, and would cost you nothing but the inconvenience of having to drop off car1 and pick up car2. Also to rent a car you need ID and CC, and it also costs waaaay more that 15 amonth. Try $700 a month. My bad for not getting your point.
